These indicators support ZEBEC's continued importance within the decentralized finance sector, demonstrating that it is not only active but also evolving to meet the needs of its users.
Who is ZEBEC designed for?
ZEBEC is designed for developers and businesses seeking to streamline payment processes and enhance financial transactions on the blockchain. It enables them to create and implement real-time, programmable payments, facilitating seamless financial interactions. ZEBEC provides essential tools and resources, including SDKs and APIs, to support the development of applications that leverage its payment infrastructure. Secondary participants, such as liquidity providers and validators, engage with the platform through staking and governance roles, contributing to the network's security and decision-making processes. This collaborative ecosystem allows users to innovate and optimize their financial operations while ensuring a robust and decentralized environment for all participants. By focusing on real-time payments and programmable finance, ZEBEC addresses the needs of modern businesses and developers looking to enhance their transactional capabilities.
How is ZEBEC secured?
ZEBEC employs a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the network. In this model, validators are selected to propose and validate new blocks based on the amount of ZEBEC tokens they hold and are willing to "stake" as collateral. This incentivizes participants to act honestly, as their staked tokens can be slashed or penalized for malicious behavior. The network utilizes advanced cryptographic techniques, including Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), to ensure secure authentication and data integrity. This cryptography safeguards transactions against unauthorized access and ensures that only legitimate participants can validate transactions. Incentive alignment is achieved through staking rewards, which are distributed to validators for their participation in the network. This reward system encourages active engagement and long-term commitment to the network's security. Additionally, ZEBEC implements governance processes and conducts regular audits to enhance security and resilience, ensuring that the network can adapt to potential vulnerabilities and maintain a robust operational framework.
Has ZEBEC faced any controversy or risks?
ZEBEC has faced risks primarily related to the broader challenges of the blockchain ecosystem, including regulatory scrutiny and market volatility. As a project focused on real-time payment solutions, it operates in a space that is increasingly attracting attention from regulators worldwide, which can pose compliance risks. Additionally, like many blockchain projects, ZEBEC is susceptible to technical vulnerabilities, including potential exploits related to smart contracts and network security. To address these concerns, the ZEBEC team has implemented various security measures, including regular audits of their smart contracts and infrastructure. They have also established a bug bounty program to incentivize community members to identify and report vulnerabilities. Ongoing risks include fluctuations in market conditions and evolving regulatory landscapes, which the team aims to mitigate through transparent communication and proactive engagement with regulatory bodies. Overall, ZEBEC remains committed to maintaining a secure and compliant platform for its users.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
