Bankroll Token (BNKR)
What is Bankroll Token?
Bankroll Token (BNKR) is a decentralized finance (DeFi) project launched in 2019. It was created to provide users with a platform for earning passive income through various financial activities, such as staking and liquidity provision. The project operates on the Ethereum blockchain, utilizing smart contracts to facilitate its operations and ensure transparency. The native token, BNKR, serves multiple purposes within the ecosystem, including governance, where holders can vote on proposals affecting the platform, and as a medium for transactions and staking rewards. Users can earn BNKR by participating in liquidity pools and other DeFi activities, enhancing the token's utility. Bankroll Token stands out for its focus on creating a user-friendly interface and simplifying access to DeFi services, making it appealing to both novice and experienced users. Its commitment to community governance and transparency positions it as a significant player in the evolving DeFi landscape.
When and how did Bankroll Token start?
Bankroll Token originated in December 2019 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technical framework. The project aimed to create a decentralized ecosystem for gaming and finance, leveraging blockchain technology to enhance user engagement and rewards. The initial development phase included the launch of the testnet in early 2020, which allowed developers and early adopters to experiment with the platform's features and functionalities. Following successful testing, the mainnet was launched in March 2020, marking the token's official entry into the market. The initial distribution of Bankroll Token occurred through a fair launch model, which emphasized community participation and equitable access to the token. This approach helped establish a strong foundation for the project's growth and the development of its ecosystem, attracting a dedicated user base and fostering ongoing innovation within the platform.

Who is Bankroll Token designed for?
Bankroll Token is designed for consumers and investors interested in decentralized finance (DeFi) solutions, enabling them to participate in various financial activities such as staking, yield farming, and governance. It provides essential tools and resources, including user-friendly wallets and access to decentralized applications (dApps), to facilitate seamless engagement with the ecosystem. Secondary participants, such as developers and liquidity providers, can engage through the creation of dApps and liquidity pools, contributing to the overall functionality and liquidity of the platform. This collaborative environment allows developers to build innovative financial products while liquidity providers enhance market efficiency. By catering to both primary and secondary user groups, Bankroll Token fosters a robust ecosystem that supports diverse financial interactions and promotes community involvement.
How is Bankroll Token secured?
Bankroll Token utilizes a delegated proof-of-stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism, where a network of validators is responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the blockchain. In this model, token holders can delegate their voting power to selected validators, who are incentivized to act honestly and efficiently. The protocol employs cryptographic techniques such as Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA) to ensure secure authentication and data integrity. This cryptography safeguards transactions against tampering and unauthorized access. Incentives are aligned through staking rewards, where validators earn rewards for their participation in the network, while penalties, or slashing, are imposed on those who act maliciously or fail to fulfill their responsibilities. This mechanism discourages dishonest behavior and promotes a secure environment for all participants. Additionally, the network benefits from regular audits and governance processes that enhance its resilience, ensuring that any vulnerabilities are addressed promptly and effectively.
Has Bankroll Token faced any controversy or risks?
Bankroll Token has faced some controversy related to its operational model and community governance. In mid-2020, the project encountered scrutiny over its tokenomics and sustainability, particularly regarding the distribution of rewards and the long-term viability of its staking mechanisms. This raised concerns among investors about potential risks of inflation and diminishing returns. The team responded by implementing adjustments to the reward structure and enhancing transparency in their operations. They conducted community discussions to address concerns and gather feedback, which led to modifications in their governance model to better align with community interests. Ongoing risks for Bankroll Token include market volatility and regulatory scrutiny, common to many projects in the crypto space. To mitigate these risks, the team has focused on maintaining open communication with the community and regularly updating their security measures and operational protocols. Additionally, they have engaged in audits to ensure the integrity of their smart contracts and overall system security.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).

Historical Market Depth is showing the history of liquidity from the markets for a given asset. It’s a measure of combined liquidity from all integrated markets on the coinpaprika’s market depth module.
