What is Stockify?
Stockify (STK) is a blockchain-based platform launched in 2023, designed to facilitate the integration of traditional stock trading with cryptocurrency markets. The project aims to bridge the gap between conventional finance and the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem, allowing users to trade tokenized stocks and other financial instruments seamlessly. Stockify operates on the Ethereum blockchain, utilizing smart contracts to ensure secure and transparent transactions. Its native token, STK, serves multiple purposes within the ecosystem, including transaction fees, governance, and staking, enabling users to participate in decision-making processes and earn rewards. What makes Stockify significant is its innovative approach to democratizing access to stock trading by leveraging blockchain technology. This positions it as a noteworthy player in the evolving landscape of financial services, appealing to both traditional investors and crypto enthusiasts seeking new investment opportunities.
When and how did Stockify start?
Stockify originated in March 2021 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technical framework. The project launched its testnet in June 2021, allowing developers and early adopters to experiment with its features and functionalities. Following successful testing and community feedback, Stockify transitioned to its mainnet launch in December 2021, marking its official entry into the market. Early development focused on creating a user-friendly platform for trading and managing digital assets, aiming to simplify the investment process for users. The initial distribution of Stockify tokens occurred through an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in January 2022, which raised funds to support further development and marketing efforts. These foundational steps established Stockify's ecosystem and set the stage for its growth in the competitive cryptocurrency landscape.
What’s coming up for Stockify?
According to official updates, Stockify is preparing for a significant protocol upgrade scheduled for Q2 2024, aimed at enhancing scalability and user experience. This upgrade will introduce new features designed to optimize transaction speeds and reduce fees, which are critical for improving overall platform performance. Additionally, Stockify is set to launch a new integration with a major financial service provider in Q3 2024, which will expand its user base and facilitate easier access to its services. The team is also planning a governance vote in Q1 2024 to involve the community in key decision-making processes, further promoting decentralization and user engagement. These milestones are part of Stockify's broader strategy to solidify its position in the market and enhance its offerings, with progress being tracked through their official roadmap.

Overall, Stockify aims to cater to a diverse audience by offering tailored solutions that meet the varying needs of both individual and institutional users.
How is Stockify secured?
Stockify employs a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the network. In this model, validators are selected to create new blocks based on the amount of cryptocurrency they hold and are willing to "stake" as collateral. This incentivizes participants to act honestly, as they have a financial stake in the network's success. To ensure authentication and data integrity, Stockify utilizes advanced cryptographic techniques, including Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA). This cryptography secures transactions and verifies the identities of participants within the network. Incentive alignment is achieved through staking rewards, which are distributed to validators for their participation in the network, and slashing penalties, which are imposed on those who act maliciously or fail to validate transactions correctly. This dual mechanism discourages dishonest behavior and promotes a secure environment for all users. Additional safeguards include regular audits and a robust governance framework, which allows stakeholders to participate in decision-making processes, further enhancing the network's resilience against potential threats.
Has Stockify faced any controversy or risks?
Stockify has faced regulatory scrutiny regarding its compliance with financial regulations, particularly in relation to securities laws, which became prominent in mid-2023. This scrutiny arose from concerns that certain tokens offered by Stockify could be classified as securities, leading to potential legal challenges. In response, the team undertook a comprehensive review of their token offerings and implemented changes to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. This included updating their whitepaper and enhancing transparency around token utility. Additionally, Stockify has encountered technical risks associated with smart contract vulnerabilities, which were identified during routine audits. The team promptly addressed these issues through a series of patches and upgrades to their smart contracts, ensuring that vulnerabilities were mitigated. Ongoing risks for Stockify include market volatility and potential regulatory changes, which are managed through proactive development practices, regular security audits, and a commitment to transparency with their community.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
