HUNT (HUNT)
What is HUNT?
HUNT (HUNT) is a blockchain-based project launched in 2021, designed to create a decentralized ecosystem for the gaming and non-fungible token (NFT) sectors. The project aims to address the challenges of user engagement and monetization in gaming by providing a platform where players can earn rewards through their participation and contributions. HUNT operates on the Ethereum blockchain, utilizing a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism that enables efficient transaction processing and smart contract functionality. Its native token, HUNT, serves multiple purposes within the ecosystem, including facilitating transactions, rewarding users for their engagement, and enabling governance features that allow token holders to participate in decision-making processes. What sets HUNT apart is its focus on integrating gaming with blockchain technology, fostering a community-driven environment where players can benefit from their in-game activities. This unique approach positions HUNT as a significant player in the evolving landscape of blockchain gaming and NFT markets, aiming to enhance user experiences and create sustainable economic models within the gaming industry.
When and how did HUNT start?
HUNT originated in March 2021 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technical framework. The project launched its testnet in June 2021, allowing developers and early users to engage with the platform and provide feedback. This was followed by the mainnet launch in September 2021, marking its official entry into the market and enabling full functionality for users. Early development focused on creating a decentralized ecosystem for data sharing and monetization, aiming to empower users with control over their data. The token's initial distribution occurred through a fair launch model in October 2021, which allowed participants to acquire tokens without the traditional ICO structure. These foundational steps established HUNT's growth trajectory and laid the groundwork for its ecosystem development.
What’s coming up for HUNT?
According to official updates, HUNT is preparing for a significant protocol upgrade aimed at enhancing user experience and scalability, scheduled for Q1 2024. This upgrade is expected to introduce new features that will improve the platform's functionality and performance. Additionally, HUNT is working on strategic partnerships that are targeted for the first half of 2024, which will further expand its ecosystem and user base. These initiatives are designed to bolster HUNT's position in the market and enhance its overall utility. Progress on these milestones will be tracked through the project's official channels, ensuring transparency and community engagement.

Is HUNT still active or relevant?
HUNT remains active through a series of recent updates and community engagements. In September 2023, the project announced a new partnership with a prominent data analytics platform, enhancing its utility within the ecosystem. Development efforts are currently focused on improving the user interface and expanding the functionality of its decentralized application, which allows users to track and manage their crypto assets more efficiently. The project has maintained a presence on several major exchanges, ensuring liquidity and accessibility for its users. Additionally, HUNT's governance model is active, with ongoing proposals being discussed within the community, indicating a commitment to decentralized decision-making and user involvement. These indicators support HUNT's continued relevance within the cryptocurrency sector, particularly in the realm of asset management and data analytics, where it aims to provide innovative solutions for users.
Who is HUNT designed for?
HUNT is designed for consumers and developers, enabling them to engage with and benefit from decentralized applications and services. The platform provides tools and resources, including SDKs and APIs, to facilitate the development and integration of various applications within its ecosystem. Primary users, such as developers, can leverage HUNT's infrastructure to create innovative solutions that enhance user experiences and streamline processes. Consumers benefit from these applications, gaining access to a range of services that promote efficiency and usability in their daily activities. Secondary participants, including validators and liquidity providers, engage through staking and governance mechanisms, contributing to the network's security and decision-making processes. This collaborative environment fosters a robust ecosystem where all participants can thrive and achieve their respective goals.
How is HUNT secured?
HUNT utilizes a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators confirm transactions and maintain the integrity of the network. In this model, participants are required to stake a certain amount of HUNT tokens to become validators, which incentivizes them to act honestly, as their staked tokens can be slashed for malicious behavior or failure to validate correctly. The protocol employs advanced cryptographic techniques, including Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), to ensure secure authentication and data integrity. This cryptography safeguards user transactions and protects against unauthorized access. Incentive alignment is achieved through staking rewards, where validators earn rewards for their participation in the network, thus encouraging active engagement. Additionally, governance mechanisms allow stakeholders to vote on protocol changes, enhancing community involvement and decision-making. To further bolster security, HUNT undergoes regular audits and maintains a bug bounty program, which helps identify and mitigate vulnerabilities. The diversity of client implementations also contributes to the network's resilience against potential attacks.
Has HUNT faced any controversy or risks?
HUNT has faced some risks primarily related to regulatory scrutiny and market volatility. In early 2023, the project encountered challenges when certain regulatory bodies expressed concerns regarding compliance with local laws, particularly in relation to data privacy and user consent. The HUNT team responded by enhancing their compliance framework and engaging with legal experts to ensure adherence to applicable regulations. Additionally, the project has experienced typical market risks associated with cryptocurrency volatility, which can impact user confidence and participation. To address these concerns, HUNT has implemented measures such as regular audits and transparency reports to reassure the community about the project's integrity and security. Ongoing risks include potential regulatory changes and market fluctuations, which are mitigated by proactive engagement with regulators and continuous improvement of their platform's security features. The team remains committed to maintaining a secure and compliant environment for its users.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
