It aims to address the challenges faced by game developers and players in the gaming industry, such as high costs and limited access to resources. The project operates on the Ethereum blockchain, utilizing smart contracts to enable seamless interactions within its ecosystem. Its native token, GZONE, serves multiple purposes, including transaction fees, staking, and governance, allowing holders to participate in decision-making processes related to the platform's development and future direction. GameZone stands out for its focus on creating a comprehensive environment for game developers, offering tools and resources that simplify the game creation process. This positions it as a significant player in the blockchain gaming space, fostering innovation and collaboration among developers and gamers alike.
When and how did GameZone start?
GameZone originated in December 2020 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and objectives within the gaming ecosystem. The project launched its testnet in March 2021, allowing developers and users to explore its functionalities and provide feedback. Following successful testing, the mainnet was launched in June 2021, marking its official entry into the market. Early development focused on creating a platform that facilitates game development and distribution, aiming to empower developers and enhance user engagement in the gaming space. The initial distribution of GameZone tokens occurred through a fair launch model in July 2021, which aimed to ensure equitable access for participants. These foundational steps established GameZone's growth trajectory and laid the groundwork for its ecosystem, positioning it as a notable player in the blockchain gaming sector.
What’s coming up for GameZone?
According to official updates, GameZone is preparing for a major platform upgrade scheduled for Q1 2024, aimed at enhancing user experience and scalability. This upgrade will introduce new features designed to streamline game development and improve the overall functionality of the platform. Is GameZone still active or relevant?
GameZone remains active through a series of recent developments and community engagements. In September 2023, the project announced a significant upgrade to its platform, enhancing user experience and expanding its gaming ecosystem. This update included new features aimed at improving gameplay and integrating additional blockchain technologies. The project continues to maintain a presence on various trading platforms, with consistent trading volume indicating ongoing interest and participation from the community. GameZone has also been actively engaging with its user base through social media channels, where it shares updates and gathers feedback, further demonstrating its commitment to community involvement. Additionally, GameZone has established partnerships with several gaming projects, which not only enhance its ecosystem but also broaden its reach within the blockchain gaming sector. These indicators support its continued relevance in the rapidly evolving landscape of blockchain gaming and decentralized finance.
Who is GameZone designed for?
GameZone is designed for gamers and developers, enabling them to create, play, and monetize games within a decentralized ecosystem. It provides essential tools and resources, including software development kits (SDKs) and application programming interfaces (APIs), to facilitate game development and integration with blockchain technology. Primary users, such as game developers, can leverage GameZone to build innovative gaming experiences while utilizing the platform's infrastructure for distribution and monetization. This allows them to reach a broader audience and engage with players in new ways. Secondary participants, including gamers and content creators, engage with the platform through gameplay, content creation, and community involvement. They can participate in governance, contribute to game development, and benefit from the platform's marketplace, enhancing their overall experience and fostering a vibrant gaming community.
How is GameZone secured?
GameZone employs a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators confirm transactions and maintain the integrity of the network. This model allows participants to stake their tokens, which are then used to validate transactions and create new blocks. The protocol utilizes advanced cryptographic techniques, such as Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), to ensure secure authentication and data integrity. Incentives for participants are aligned through staking rewards, which are distributed to validators based on their performance and the amount of tokens they have staked. To discourage malicious behavior, the network incorporates slashing penalties, which can result in the loss of staked tokens for validators who act dishonestly or fail to meet their obligations. Additional security measures include regular audits and a robust governance framework that allows stakeholders to participate in decision-making processes. The diversity of client implementations further enhances the network's resilience, ensuring that it remains secure and operational even in the face of potential vulnerabilities.
Has GameZone faced any controversy or risks?
GameZone has faced some controversy related to community governance and project transparency. In early 2023, concerns arose regarding the decision-making processes within the GameZone community, particularly about the allocation of funds and project direction. This led to discussions among community members about the need for clearer governance structures and more inclusive decision-making practices. In response to these concerns, the GameZone team initiated a series of community engagement sessions to gather feedback and suggestions. They also proposed a governance framework that allows token holders to have a more significant say in project developments and fund allocations. Additionally, the team committed to regular updates and transparency reports to keep the community informed about project progress and financial health. Ongoing risks for GameZone include market volatility and regulatory scrutiny, common in the blockchain space. The team is actively working to mitigate these risks through enhanced security measures, regular audits, and a focus on compliance with evolving regulations.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
