The project operates on a multi-chain architecture, leveraging both Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain to facilitate seamless transactions and interoperability. Its native token, XCHNG, serves multiple purposes within the ecosystem, including transaction fees, staking rewards, and governance participation, allowing holders to influence the platform's development and decision-making processes. Chainge stands out for its user-friendly interface and innovative features, such as cross-chain swaps and automated liquidity provision, positioning it as a significant player in the DeFi landscape. By focusing on accessibility and efficiency, Chainge aims to attract both novice and experienced users, making decentralized finance more approachable for a broader audience.
When and how did Chainge start?
Chainge originated in September 2020 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technological framework. The project launched its testnet in December 2020, allowing developers and early users to engage with the platform and provide feedback. Following the successful testing phase, Chainge transitioned to its mainnet launch in March 2021, marking its official entry into the blockchain ecosystem. Early development focused on creating a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform that integrates various financial services, aiming to enhance user accessibility and experience. The token's initial distribution occurred through a fair launch model in April 2021, which allowed participants to acquire tokens without the constraints of traditional fundraising methods. These foundational steps established Chainge's growth trajectory and laid the groundwork for its evolving ecosystem.

Who is Chainge designed for?
Chainge is designed for a primary audience of consumers and traders, enabling them to access decentralized finance (DeFi) services seamlessly. It provides tools and resources, including a user-friendly wallet and trading platform, to facilitate easy participation in the crypto market. The platform aims to simplify the process of trading and managing digital assets, catering to both novice and experienced users. Secondary participants include developers and liquidity providers, who engage with Chainge through its APIs and SDKs. This allows developers to build applications on the Chainge platform, while liquidity providers can contribute to the ecosystem by supplying assets for trading and earning rewards. By fostering a collaborative environment, Chainge supports a diverse range of users, all contributing to the growth and functionality of the platform.
How is Chainge secured?
Chainge employs a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the network. This model requires validators to stake a certain amount of the native token, which not only secures the network but also aligns their financial interests with the overall health of the ecosystem. For authentication and data integrity, Chainge utilizes advanced cryptographic techniques, including elliptic curve digital signature algorithm (ECDSA), ensuring that transactions are securely signed and verifiable. The network incentivizes honest behavior through staking rewards, which are distributed to validators for their participation in the consensus process. To further deter malicious actions, Chainge implements slashing penalties, which can result in the loss of staked tokens if a validator is found to be acting against the network's interests. Additional security measures include regular audits and a robust governance framework, which collectively enhance the network's resilience and trustworthiness.
Has Chainge faced any controversy or risks?
Chainge has faced risks primarily related to the security of its decentralized finance (DeFi) infrastructure. In early 2023, the project encountered a significant incident involving a vulnerability in its smart contracts, which raised concerns about potential exploits. The team promptly addressed this issue by implementing a patch to secure the affected contracts and conducted a thorough audit to identify any additional vulnerabilities. In response to the incident, Chainge also initiated a bug bounty program to incentivize external security researchers to identify and report any further vulnerabilities. This proactive approach aimed to enhance the overall security posture of the platform. Ongoing risks for Chainge include market volatility, regulatory scrutiny, and the inherent technical challenges associated with DeFi projects. To mitigate these risks, the team emphasizes transparency in its operations, regular audits of its smart contracts, and continuous monitoring of the platform's security measures. These practices are designed to foster trust within the community and ensure the long-term viability of the project.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
