What is Neutra Finance?
Neutra Finance (NEU) is a decentralized finance (DeFi) project launched in 2021. It was created to provide users with a platform for secure and efficient financial transactions, focusing on enhancing user privacy and reducing transaction costs. The project operates on the Ethereum blockchain, utilizing smart contracts to facilitate various financial services such as lending, borrowing, and yield farming. The native token, NEU, serves multiple purposes within the Neutra Finance ecosystem, including governance, where holders can vote on protocol changes, and as a utility token for transaction fees within the platform. Additionally, NEU can be staked to earn rewards, incentivizing users to participate actively in the network. Neutra Finance stands out for its emphasis on privacy and security, integrating advanced cryptographic techniques to protect user data and transaction details. This focus positions it as a significant player in the DeFi space, appealing to users who prioritize confidentiality in their financial activities.
When and how did Neutra Finance start?
Neutra Finance originated in March 2021 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technical framework. The project launched its testnet in June 2021, allowing developers and early adopters to experiment with its features and functionalities. Following successful testing, Neutra Finance transitioned to its mainnet launch in September 2021, marking its official entry into the market. Early development focused on creating a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform that aimed to enhance user experience and accessibility in the crypto space. The initial distribution of Neutra Finance tokens occurred through a fair launch model in October 2021, which allowed community members to participate without the constraints of traditional fundraising methods. These foundational steps established Neutra Finance's growth trajectory and laid the groundwork for its ecosystem development.

Who is Neutra Finance designed for?
Neutra Finance is designed for both individual users and developers, enabling them to access decentralized finance (DeFi) solutions that enhance financial autonomy and efficiency. The platform provides tools and resources, including user-friendly wallets and APIs, to facilitate seamless interaction with its services. Primary users, such as retail investors and DeFi enthusiasts, can utilize Neutra Finance to manage their assets, participate in yield farming, and engage in governance decisions. Developers are supported through comprehensive documentation and SDKs, allowing them to build and integrate applications that leverage Neutra's infrastructure. Secondary participants, including liquidity providers and validators, can engage with the ecosystem through staking mechanisms and governance participation, contributing to the overall stability and growth of the platform. This collaborative environment fosters innovation and enhances the utility of Neutra Finance for all involved.
How is Neutra Finance secured?
Neutra Finance employs a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the network. Validators are selected based on the amount of Neutra tokens they stake, incentivizing them to act honestly to protect their investment. The protocol utilizes advanced cryptographic techniques, such as Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), to ensure secure authentication and data integrity. Incentive alignment is achieved through staking rewards, which are distributed to validators for their participation in the network, while slashing penalties are imposed on those who act maliciously or fail to validate transactions correctly. This dual mechanism discourages dishonest behavior and promotes network security. Additionally, Neutra Finance incorporates regular audits and a robust governance framework to enhance security. These audits help identify vulnerabilities, while governance processes allow stakeholders to propose and vote on protocol upgrades, ensuring the network remains resilient and adaptive to emerging threats.
Has Neutra Finance faced any controversy or risks?
Neutra Finance has faced risks primarily related to the broader challenges in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space, including potential vulnerabilities associated with smart contracts and liquidity pools. In early 2023, the project reported a minor incident involving a smart contract exploit that temporarily affected liquidity. The team responded promptly by pausing affected contracts and conducting a thorough audit to identify and rectify vulnerabilities. They also implemented a bug bounty program to encourage community participation in identifying potential issues. Additionally, Neutra Finance has navigated regulatory scrutiny, as many DeFi projects do, particularly concerning compliance with evolving financial regulations. The team has taken proactive measures to ensure transparency and adherence to best practices, including regular updates to their community and engagement with legal advisors. Ongoing risks for Neutra Finance include market volatility and the inherent technical risks associated with DeFi protocols. The project mitigates these risks through continuous development practices, regular security audits, and maintaining an open line of communication with its user base to foster trust and transparency.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
