What is Myro?
Myro (MYRO) is a blockchain project launched in 2021, designed to facilitate decentralized finance (DeFi) solutions and enhance user engagement in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. The project aims to address the challenges of accessibility and usability in DeFi applications, making it easier for users to interact with financial services on the blockchain. Myro operates on a native Layer 1 blockchain, utilizing a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism that enables efficient transaction processing and scalability. Its native token, MYRO, serves multiple purposes within the ecosystem, including transaction fees, staking rewards, and governance participation, allowing holders to influence the development and direction of the project. Myro distinguishes itself through its focus on user-friendly interfaces and educational resources, positioning it as a significant player in the DeFi space by promoting broader adoption and understanding of decentralized financial services.
When and how did Myro start?
Myro originated in March 2021 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technical framework. The project launched its testnet in July 2021, allowing developers and early adopters to experiment with its features and functionalities. Following successful testing, Myro transitioned to its mainnet launch in December 2021, marking its official entry into the blockchain ecosystem. Early development focused on creating a decentralized platform aimed at enhancing user engagement and interaction within the crypto space. The initial distribution of Myro tokens occurred through an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in January 2022, which facilitated funding for further development and community building. These foundational steps established the groundwork for Myro's growth and the expansion of its ecosystem, positioning it for future advancements and user adoption.
What’s coming up for Myro?
According to official updates, Myro is preparing for a significant protocol upgrade planned for Q1 2024, focused on enhancing scalability and user experience. This upgrade aims to improve transaction speeds and reduce fees, making the platform more accessible to users. Additionally, Myro is targeting the integration of new partnerships with decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms in Q2 2024, which will expand its ecosystem and provide users with more financial tools. Governance decisions regarding community proposals are also scheduled for Q3 2024, allowing stakeholders to influence the future direction of the project. These milestones aim to strengthen Myro's position in the market and enhance its overall functionality, with progress being tracked through their official roadmap.

Is Myro still active or relevant?
Myro remains active through a series of recent updates and community engagements. In September 2023, the project announced a significant upgrade aimed at enhancing transaction efficiency and security, which reflects its commitment to continuous improvement. Development currently focuses on expanding its decentralized finance (DeFi) capabilities, with an emphasis on user-friendly interfaces and robust smart contract functionalities. The project maintains a presence across various trading platforms, indicating ongoing market interest and liquidity. Additionally, Myro has established partnerships with several blockchain projects, enhancing its ecosystem integration and utility. Recent governance proposals have also been put forth, allowing community members to participate actively in decision-making processes, which underscores its relevance in the decentralized governance landscape. These indicators support Myro's continued relevance within the DeFi sector, as it adapts to market demands and technological advancements while fostering community involvement.
Who is Myro designed for?
Myro is designed for developers and consumers, enabling them to create and utilize decentralized applications (dApps) effectively. It provides essential tools and resources, including software development kits (SDKs) and application programming interfaces (APIs), to facilitate the development and integration of blockchain solutions. This support allows developers to build innovative applications while ensuring ease of access for consumers to engage with these services. Secondary participants, such as validators and liquidity providers, engage with Myro through staking and governance mechanisms. This involvement not only contributes to the network's security and efficiency but also empowers these participants to influence the platform's future direction. By catering to both primary and secondary user groups, Myro fosters a collaborative ecosystem that drives innovation and enhances user experience within the blockchain space.
How is Myro secured?
Myro uses a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the network. In this model, participants can become validators by staking a certain amount of Myro tokens, which not only secures the network but also aligns their financial interests with the health of the ecosystem. The protocol employs advanced cryptographic techniques, such as Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), to ensure secure authentication and data integrity. This cryptography safeguards transactions against unauthorized access and tampering. Incentives are structured through staking rewards, which are distributed to validators for their contributions to the network. Additionally, a slashing mechanism is in place to penalize malicious behavior or downtime, thereby discouraging validators from acting against the network's interests. To further enhance security, Myro undergoes regular audits and maintains governance processes that allow stakeholders to participate in decision-making. The diversity of client implementations also contributes to the network's resilience against potential vulnerabilities.
Has Myro faced any controversy or risks?
Myro has faced some controversy related to security vulnerabilities in its smart contracts, which were identified in early 2023. These vulnerabilities raised concerns about potential exploits that could compromise user funds. The development team responded promptly by conducting a comprehensive audit of the affected contracts and implementing necessary patches to address the identified issues. Additionally, they initiated a bug bounty program to encourage community members to report any further vulnerabilities. In terms of regulatory risks, Myro has been closely monitoring evolving regulations in the cryptocurrency space, particularly concerning compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) requirements. The team has taken proactive steps to ensure adherence to these regulations, including the integration of KYC processes for users. Ongoing risks for Myro include market volatility and potential technical challenges, which are common in the blockchain ecosystem. To mitigate these risks, the team emphasizes transparency in their operations and regularly updates the community on security measures and compliance efforts.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
