What is Incrypt?
Incrypt (INC) is a blockchain project launched in 2023, designed to enhance privacy and security in digital transactions. It aims to address the growing concerns around data privacy and the need for secure communication in the digital age. The project operates on its own Layer 1 blockchain, utilizing a unique consensus mechanism that combines proof-of-stake and zero-knowledge proofs, enabling secure and efficient transaction processing. Its native token, INC, serves multiple purposes, including transaction fees, staking rewards, and governance, allowing holders to participate in decision-making processes related to the network's development. Incrypt stands out for its focus on privacy-centric features, such as encrypted messaging and anonymous transactions, positioning it as a significant player in the privacy-focused segment of the cryptocurrency market. Its innovative approach to combining security with usability makes it a noteworthy option for users seeking enhanced privacy in their digital interactions.
When and how did Incrypt start?
Incrypt originated in March 2021 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technical framework. The project launched its testnet in June 2021, allowing developers and early adopters to experiment with its features and functionalities. Following successful testing, Incrypt transitioned to its mainnet launch in December 2021, marking its official entry into the blockchain ecosystem. Early development focused on creating a secure and scalable platform for decentralized applications, emphasizing user privacy and data protection. The initial distribution of Incrypt tokens occurred through an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in November 2021, which helped raise funds for further development and marketing efforts. These foundational steps established Incrypt's presence in the crypto space and set the stage for its future growth and community engagement.
What’s coming up for Incrypt?
According to official updates, Incrypt is preparing for a significant protocol upgrade aimed at enhancing scalability and performance, scheduled for Q1 2024. This upgrade will introduce new features designed to improve user experience and transaction efficiency. Additionally, Incrypt is set to launch a strategic partnership with a prominent blockchain platform, expected to be finalized in mid-2024. This collaboration aims to expand Incrypt's ecosystem and enhance its utility within the decentralized finance (DeFi) space. Furthermore, governance decisions regarding community proposals are anticipated in Q2 2024, allowing stakeholders to influence the project's direction. These milestones are part of Incrypt's ongoing commitment to innovation and user engagement, with progress being tracked through their official channels.

Who is Incrypt designed for?
Incrypt is designed for developers and enterprises, enabling them to build and deploy decentralized applications (dApps) efficiently. It provides a robust infrastructure that includes SDKs and APIs, facilitating seamless integration and development processes. The platform aims to support developers by offering comprehensive documentation and resources, allowing them to create innovative solutions on its blockchain. Secondary participants, such as validators and liquidity providers, engage with Incrypt through staking and governance mechanisms, contributing to the network's security and decision-making processes. This collaborative environment fosters a thriving ecosystem where both primary and secondary users can achieve their goals, whether it be developing cutting-edge applications or participating in the network's growth and governance.
How is Incrypt secured?
Incrypt employs a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the network. These validators are selected based on the amount of Incrypt tokens they hold and are willing to "stake" as collateral. This staking process not only secures the network but also incentivizes participants to act honestly, as they stand to lose their staked tokens if they engage in malicious behavior. The protocol utilizes advanced cryptographic techniques, such as Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), to ensure secure authentication and data integrity. This cryptography safeguards transactions against tampering and unauthorized access. Incentive alignment is achieved through staking rewards, which are distributed to validators for their participation in the network. Additionally, a slashing mechanism is in place to penalize validators who act dishonestly or fail to validate transactions properly, thereby discouraging malicious activities. To further enhance security, Incrypt undergoes regular audits and maintains governance processes that allow stakeholders to participate in decision-making. The use of multiple client implementations also contributes to the network's resilience against potential vulnerabilities.
Has Incrypt faced any controversy or risks?
Incrypt has faced some controversy related to security vulnerabilities and regulatory scrutiny since its inception. In early 2023, the project experienced a significant security incident involving a smart contract exploit that resulted in the loss of user funds. The team promptly addressed the issue by implementing a patch to the affected smart contracts and conducting a thorough audit to identify and rectify any additional vulnerabilities. They also initiated a reimbursement program for affected users to restore trust within the community. Additionally, Incrypt has encountered regulatory challenges in various jurisdictions, which have raised concerns about compliance with local laws. The team has been proactive in engaging with regulators and adapting their practices to ensure compliance, including enhancing transparency and implementing robust Know Your Customer (KYC) measures. Ongoing risks for Incrypt include market volatility and potential future regulatory changes, which the team aims to mitigate through continuous development practices, regular security audits, and maintaining open lines of communication with their user base.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
