Aurory (AURY) is a blockchain-based gaming platform launched in 2021 by a team of developers and designers. It was created to provide an engaging and immersive gaming experience that incorporates elements of play-to-earn mechanics, allowing players to earn rewards through gameplay. The project operates on the Solana blockchain, which enables high-speed transactions and low fees, essential for a seamless gaming experience. Its native token, AURY, serves multiple purposes within the ecosystem, including facilitating in-game transactions, staking for rewards, and participating in governance decisions. Aurory stands out for its unique blend of traditional gaming and decentralized finance (DeFi) elements, positioning it as a significant player in the emerging sector of blockchain gaming. The platform features vibrant graphics and a rich narrative, appealing to both gamers and crypto enthusiasts alike.
When and how did Aurory start?
Aurory originated in October 2021 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the vision and mechanics of the project. The development team aimed to create a play-to-earn gaming ecosystem on the Solana blockchain, focusing on engaging gameplay and community involvement. The project launched its testnet in early 2022, allowing users to experience the game mechanics and provide feedback before the official release. Aurory's mainnet went live in September 2022, marking its transition to a fully operational platform. Initial distribution of the Aurory token (AURY) occurred through a combination of private sales and a public token sale in late 2021, which helped secure early funding and establish a community of supporters. These foundational steps set the stage for Aurory's growth and the development of its gaming ecosystem.

Who is Aurory designed for?
Aurory is designed for gamers and developers, enabling them to engage in a play-to-earn ecosystem that combines gaming with blockchain technology. The platform provides tools and resources, including a user-friendly interface and integration capabilities, to support game development and enhance user experience. Gamers can participate in various interactive experiences while earning rewards through gameplay, fostering a vibrant community. Secondary participants, such as content creators and community members, engage through activities like creating in-game assets and participating in governance decisions. This involvement allows them to contribute to the ecosystem's growth and sustainability. By catering to both gamers and developers, Aurory aims to create a comprehensive environment that promotes innovation and collaboration within the gaming and blockchain sectors.
How is Aurory secured?
Aurory employs a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the network. This model allows participants to stake their tokens, which not only secures the network but also aligns their incentives with the overall health of the ecosystem. Validators are selected to propose and validate new blocks based on the amount of tokens they have staked, ensuring that those with a vested interest in the network's success are involved in its governance. To ensure data integrity and secure transactions, Aurory utilizes advanced cryptographic techniques, including elliptic curve digital signature algorithm (ECDSA). This cryptography safeguards user identities and transaction authenticity, preventing unauthorized access and fraud. Incentives are further reinforced through a system of rewards for validators, which encourages active participation in the network. Additionally, slashing mechanisms are in place to penalize malicious behavior or negligence, thereby discouraging actions that could compromise network security. Regular audits and governance processes contribute to the overall resilience of the Aurory network, ensuring that it remains robust against potential vulnerabilities.
Has Aurory faced any controversy or risks?
Aurory has faced some risks primarily related to the volatile nature of the cryptocurrency market and the challenges inherent in blockchain technology. As a project that operates within the gaming and NFT sectors, it is subject to market fluctuations that can impact user engagement and investment. Additionally, like many blockchain projects, Aurory is exposed to technical risks such as potential exploits or vulnerabilities in smart contracts. In response to these risks, the Aurory team has implemented various security measures, including regular audits of their smart contracts and ongoing monitoring of their platform for any anomalies. They have also established a community-driven approach to governance, allowing stakeholders to participate in decision-making processes that can address emerging risks. Ongoing risks include regulatory scrutiny, particularly as governments worldwide develop frameworks for cryptocurrency and gaming. To mitigate these risks, Aurory emphasizes transparency in its operations and maintains open communication with its community regarding any potential challenges or updates.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
