Cardano's Charles Hoskinson warns of rising AI scams on YouTube, urging caution as fake videos become more realistic.

The creator of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson, has issued a strict warning about AI scams that are becoming rampant on YouTube. He spoke on X (formerly Twitter) about a new threat in the crypto world due to the advancement of AI technology. Charles cited a deep fake video of him promoting a fake ADA giveaway on YouTube as an example. The video looked real, although, with a closer look, one can discover that it's fake. Charles predicted that in a year or two, these fake videos would be so good, it'll be hard to tell them apart from real ones.

In the comment section, members of the Cardano community voiced their worries about how fraudsters use AI-generated videos to trick victims. They believe that these videos will be used even more by bad actors and fraudsters in the future. They stressed the need for methods to tell real people from their AI-created copies.

Recently, the CEO of Ripple also addressed this issue on his X page, citing the same problem as Charles Hokinson, as AI technology is rapidly advancing, experts like Elon Musk are predicting that AI will soon be able to write novels and make discoveries in various fields. This development is both exciting and concerning for the future.
