FTX Debtors Sue SBF Parents For Alleged Misuse of Funds
FTX Debtors Sue Parents of FTX's Troubled Founder for Alleged Misuse of funds.
FTX's founder, Sam Bankman-Fried's (SBF) parentsare in legal trouble. A recent court document says they wrongfully used FTX’s money.
FTX debtors want their money back. They claim the parents of SBF took millions from the company.
The paper calls SBF's mother “Fried” and his father “Bankman.” They both had roles in FTX and are accused of taking advantage of this.
Bankman, known as a tax law expert and a Stanford professor, gained a big role in FTX. He started as a free helper but soon became a main advisor.
People at FTX trusted Bankman a lot because he had more knowledge than others. “He seemed like the wise person in the group, especially when working with younger team members,” says the document.
The debtors say Bankman got many gifts for his work at FTX, like property, fancy plane tickets, and stays at expensive hotels.
FTX’s founder, SBF, faces his big court case on October 3. But before that, he's been having many legal arguments.
A report from BeInCrypto on September 17 said that SBF wanted to ask potential jury members about what they've heard in the news. But the US legal team thinks his questions are too long and want simpler ones.
