USX (USX) is a cryptocurrency project launched in 2023, designed to facilitate seamless digital transactions and enhance financial accessibility. It operates on a proprietary blockchain that utilizes a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism, enabling efficient and secure transaction processing. The native token, USX, serves multiple functions within the ecosystem, including transaction fees, staking rewards, and governance participation, allowing holders to influence key decisions regarding the project's development and direction. USX stands out for its focus on integrating advanced security features and user-friendly interfaces, making it accessible to both novice and experienced users. This emphasis on usability and security positions USX as a significant player in the evolving landscape of digital finance, aiming to bridge the gap between traditional finance and the cryptocurrency world.
When and how did USX start?
USX originated in March 2021 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technical framework. The project launched its testnet in June 2021, allowing developers and early adopters to explore its features and functionalities. Following successful testing, the mainnet was officially launched in September 2021, marking the token's public availability for trading and use within its ecosystem. Early development focused on creating a robust decentralized finance (DeFi) platform, aiming to enhance user accessibility and transaction efficiency. The initial distribution of USX tokens occurred through an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in October 2021, which facilitated funding for further development and marketing efforts. These foundational steps established USX's growth trajectory and laid the groundwork for its ecosystem, attracting a community of users and developers interested in its innovative offerings.
What’s coming up for USX?
According to official updates, USX is preparing for a significant protocol upgrade planned for Q1 2024, aimed at enhancing scalability and transaction throughput. This upgrade is expected to introduce new features that will improve user experience and overall network performance. Is USX still active or relevant?
USX remains active through a series of recent updates and community engagements. In September 2023, the project announced a significant upgrade aimed at enhancing transaction efficiency and security, which reflects ongoing development efforts. The project has also maintained a presence on several major exchanges, ensuring liquidity and accessibility for users. Additionally, USX has been involved in partnerships with various decentralized applications, further integrating its utility within the broader blockchain ecosystem. The active governance model allows stakeholders to participate in decision-making processes, with recent proposals indicating a focus on expanding the platform's features and user base. These indicators support USX's continued relevance in the cryptocurrency sector, showcasing its commitment to development and community involvement while adapting to market needs.
Who is USX designed for?
USX is designed for developers and consumers, enabling them to engage in decentralized finance and digital asset management. It provides essential tools and resources, including SDKs and APIs, to facilitate the development of applications and services within its ecosystem. This allows developers to create innovative solutions that leverage USX's capabilities, while consumers can utilize these applications for various financial transactions and services. Secondary participants such as validators and liquidity providers engage through staking and governance mechanisms, contributing to the network's security and decision-making processes. This collaborative environment fosters a robust ecosystem where all participants can achieve their goals, whether it's building new applications, participating in governance, or providing liquidity for trading activities. Overall, USX aims to support a diverse range of users, enhancing accessibility and functionality within the blockchain space.
How is USX secured?
USX employs a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the network. This model requires participants to stake a certain amount of USX tokens to become validators, which helps secure the network by aligning their financial interests with the network's health. The protocol utilizes advanced cryptographic techniques, such as Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), to ensure secure authentication and data integrity. This cryptography safeguards against unauthorized access and ensures that transactions are verifiable and tamper-proof. Incentives for validators include staking rewards, which are distributed for their participation in the network, while slashing mechanisms impose penalties on validators who act maliciously or fail to fulfill their responsibilities. This dual approach of rewards and penalties helps maintain a trustworthy environment. Additionally, USX incorporates regular audits and governance processes to enhance security and resilience, ensuring that the network can adapt to potential vulnerabilities and maintain operational integrity.
Has USX faced any controversy or risks?
USX has faced regulatory scrutiny related to compliance with financial regulations, particularly concerning its classification as a security. This controversy emerged in mid-2023 when regulatory bodies raised questions about the token's compliance with existing laws. In response, the USX team engaged with legal experts to clarify its status and implemented changes to its governance structure to enhance transparency and compliance. Additionally, USX has encountered technical risks associated with its smart contracts, which were subjected to a security audit in early 2023. Following the audit, the team addressed identified vulnerabilities through a series of patches and updates to ensure the integrity of the platform. Ongoing risks for USX include market volatility and potential future regulatory changes, which the team aims to mitigate through continuous development practices, regular audits, and an active community engagement strategy to maintain transparency and trust.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
