SOLENG distinguishes itself through its innovative use of a unique consensus mechanism that enhances both throughput and security. This architecture allows for efficient processing of transactions while maintaining a high degree of decentralization. SOLENG's design includes a modular execution environment that facilitates seamless interoperability with other blockchain networks, enhancing cross-chain functionality and expanding its use cases. The ecosystem is supported by a robust governance model that empowers community participation and decision-making, ensuring the network evolves in alignment with user needs. Additionally, SOLENG has established partnerships with key industry players, which strengthen its ecosystem and provide additional resources for developers. These attributes collectively contribute to SOLENG’s distinct position in the blockchain landscape, offering a versatile platform for various applications.
What can you do with SOLENG?
The SOLENG token is utilized for various functions within its ecosystem. It serves as a utility token for transactions, allowing users to pay fees when using decentralized applications (dApps) on its blockchain. Holders of SOLENG can participate in securing the network by staking or delegating their tokens, which helps maintain network integrity and potentially provides them with rewards. Additionally, SOLENG may be used in governance proposals, enabling holders to have a say in the future development and changes within the ecosystem. Developers benefit from SOLENG by using it to build and integrate dApps, leveraging its blockchain infrastructure. The ecosystem supports SOLENG through compatible wallets and platforms that facilitate these activities, ensuring seamless interaction for users and developers alike.
Is SOLENG still active or relevant?
As of the latest available data, SOLENG remains active, with recent developments indicated by a software update released in August 2023. The project continues to focus on enhancing its blockchain infrastructure, which is a key aspect of its ongoing development efforts. SOLENG maintains active integrations within its ecosystem, particularly in decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, which underscores its relevance in the current market landscape. Additionally, SOLENG has been involved in several governance activities, with recent proposals and votes taking place in September 2023, demonstrating active community engagement. These factors collectively suggest that SOLENG is still a relevant player in its sector, maintaining both development momentum and community involvement.
Who is SOLENG designed for?
SOLENG is designed for developers and enterprises, enabling them to build and deploy scalable applications on its platform. It provides robust tools and resources, including software development kits (SDKs) and application programming interfaces (APIs), to support efficient development and integration. Secondary participants, such as validators and liquidity providers, engage through mechanisms like staking and governance, contributing to the network's security and decentralization. By catering to these user groups, SOLENG facilitates the creation of innovative solutions and supports the growth of a dynamic ecosystem.
How is SOLENG secured?
SOLENG employs a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the network's integrity. Validators are selected based on the amount of SOLENG tokens they stake, which aligns their interests with the network’s health and security. The protocol uses Ed25519 cryptographic signatures to ensure authentication and data integrity, providing robust protection against unauthorized access and tampering. Incentives for validators include staking rewards, which are distributed for their participation in securing the network. To deter malicious behavior, the network implements slashing penalties, which can result in the loss of staked tokens if validators act dishonestly or fail to perform their duties. SOLENG's security is further reinforced through regular audits and a bug bounty program, which help identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities. These mechanisms collectively ensure the resilience and reliability of the SOLENG network.
Has SOLENG faced any controversy or risks?
As of the latest available data, SOLENG has not been associated with any major controversies or security incidents that are publicly documented. However, like many blockchain projects, it operates in an environment with inherent risks, including potential technical vulnerabilities and market fluctuations. The team behind SOLENG actively works to mitigate these risks through regular code audits and security updates. They have also established a bug bounty program to encourage the community to identify and report any vulnerabilities. While there have been no significant regulatory or legal challenges reported, SOLENG remains vigilant in monitoring the evolving regulatory landscape to ensure compliance and minimize potential risks. Ongoing efforts to maintain transparency and engage with the community are key aspects of their risk management strategy.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).

Historical Market Depth is showing the history of liquidity from the markets for a given asset. It’s a measure of combined liquidity from all integrated markets on the coinpaprika’s market depth module.
