What is IXT?
IXT is a cryptocurrency token known as the IXT token, which operates on the Ethereum blockchain. It is the native token of the iXledger platform, a blockchain-based project designed for the insurance industry. The IXT token is primarily used for facilitating transactions and accessing services within the iXledger ecosystem, such as purchasing insurance products and participating in platform governance. By leveraging blockchain technology, iXledger aims to enhance transparency, efficiency, and trust in the insurance sector.
When and how did IXT start?
IXT, the native token of the InsureX platform, was launched in 2017. It was developed by InsureX Technologies, a team led by founder Ingemar Svensson. The platform aimed to revolutionize the insurance industry by providing a blockchain-based marketplace for insurance products. A significant milestone in its early development was the successful completion of its Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in July 2017, which helped raise funds to further the project's goals. IXT was initially listed on several cryptocurrency exchanges, facilitating its adoption and trading among early investors and users.
What’s coming up for IXT?
IXT, the native token of the iXledger platform, is poised for significant developments as it moves forward with its roadmap. Upcoming features include the expansion of its blockchain-based insurance marketplace, aiming to enhance transparency and efficiency in the insurance sector. Future plans also involve integrating advanced data analytics tools to better serve both insurers and clients, providing a more personalized user experience. The community is actively engaged in discussions about potential partnerships and collaborations to broaden the platform's reach and utility. As iXledger evolves, IXT is expected to play a crucial role in facilitating transactions and incentivizing participation within this growing ecosystem.
What makes IXT stand out?
IXT, the native token of the iXledger platform, is unique compared to other cryptocurrencies due to its focus on transforming the insurance industry through blockchain technology. A standout feature of IXT is its use in a decentralized marketplace that connects insurers, reinsurers, and brokers, providing a transparent and efficient environment for insurance transactions. This real-world use case leverages blockchain's capabilities to enhance data security and streamline processes, setting it apart from other digital assets.
What can you do with IXT?
IXT is primarily used as a utility token within the InsureX platform, facilitating transactions and payments for insurance products and services. Users can also engage in staking IXT to access premium features and benefits on the platform. Additionally, IXT may be used in governance, allowing token holders to participate in decision-making processes related to the platform's development and operations.
Is IXT still active or relevant?
IXT (ixt-ixt) is currently considered an inactive project, with no significant trading activity or recent developer updates. The project appears abandoned, as there is little to no active community presence or ongoing development efforts. As a result, it is not widely traded on major exchanges.
Who is IXT designed for?
IXT is built for businesses and professionals in the insurance industry, offering a blockchain-based marketplace for insurance products and services. It targets a community of insurers, brokers, and policyholders who seek transparency, efficiency, and security in their transactions. By leveraging blockchain technology, IXT is ideal for those looking to streamline insurance processes and reduce operational costs.
How is IXT secured?
IXT (ixt-ixt) secures its network using a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are chosen based on the number of tokens they hold and are willing to "stake" as collateral. This setup enhances network security by incentivizing validators to act honestly, as they risk losing their staked tokens for malicious behavior, thus ensuring robust blockchain protection.
Has IXT faced any controversy or risks?
IXT (ixt-ixt), associated with the InsureX platform, has not been prominently involved in major controversies such as hacks or rug pulls. However, like many cryptocurrencies, it is subject to risks including market volatility and regulatory challenges that can impact its value and adoption. Investors should remain cautious and conduct thorough research, considering the general risks associated with investing in cryptocurrency markets.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).

Historical Market Depth is showing the history of liquidity from the markets for a given asset. It’s a measure of combined liquidity from all integrated markets on the coinpaprika’s market depth module.
