What is Fruits?
Fruits (FRTS) is a decentralized finance (DeFi) project launched in 2021. It was created to provide users with innovative financial solutions, focusing on yield farming and liquidity provision. The project operates on the Ethereum blockchain, utilizing smart contracts to facilitate secure and transparent transactions. The native token, FRTS, serves multiple purposes within the ecosystem, including governance, staking, and as a medium for transaction fees. Users can stake FRTS tokens to earn rewards and participate in decision-making processes regarding the platform's future developments. Fruits stands out for its user-friendly interface and unique yield optimization strategies, which aim to maximize returns for liquidity providers. This positions it as a significant player in the DeFi space, catering to both novice and experienced users seeking to enhance their cryptocurrency investment strategies.
When and how did Fruits start?
Fruits originated in March 2021 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technical framework. The project launched its testnet in June 2021, allowing developers and early adopters to experiment with the platform's features and functionalities. Following successful testing, the mainnet was launched in September 2021, marking the project's transition to full public availability. Early development focused on creating a robust ecosystem for decentralized applications and enhancing user engagement through innovative tokenomics. The initial distribution of Fruits tokens occurred via a fair launch model in October 2021, which aimed to ensure equitable access for all participants. These foundational steps established the groundwork for Fruits's growth and the development of its community-driven ecosystem.
What’s coming up for Fruits?
According to official updates, Fruits is preparing for a significant protocol upgrade scheduled for Q1 2024, aimed at enhancing scalability and user experience. This upgrade will introduce new features designed to improve transaction speeds and reduce fees, making the platform more accessible to users. Additionally, Fruits is planning to launch a new partnership with a major decentralized finance (DeFi) platform in Q2 2024, which is expected to expand its ecosystem and increase user engagement. These initiatives are part of Fruits' broader strategy to enhance its functionality and market presence, with progress being tracked through their official roadmap and community updates.

Who is Fruits designed for?
Fruits is designed for consumers and developers, enabling them to engage with a decentralized ecosystem that promotes sustainable practices and healthy living. It provides tools and resources, including user-friendly wallets and APIs, to facilitate seamless transactions and interactions within the platform. Primary users, such as consumers, benefit from access to a marketplace that rewards healthy choices and sustainable behaviors, while developers can leverage the platform's infrastructure to create applications that enhance user experience and promote community engagement. Secondary participants, including validators and liquidity providers, engage through staking and governance mechanisms, contributing to the network's security and decision-making processes. This collaborative environment fosters innovation and encourages a diverse range of applications that align with the project's mission of promoting wellness and sustainability in everyday life.
How is Fruits secured?
Fruits uses a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the network. Participants can become validators by staking a certain amount of Fruits tokens, which helps secure the network. The protocol employs advanced cryptographic techniques, such as Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), to ensure authentication and data integrity. Incentives are aligned through staking rewards, which are distributed to validators for their participation in the network. To discourage malicious behavior, the protocol incorporates slashing mechanisms, where a portion of a validator's staked tokens can be forfeited if they act dishonestly or fail to validate transactions properly. Additional safeguards include regular audits and a robust governance framework that allows token holders to participate in decision-making processes. This multi-faceted approach enhances the network's resilience and security, ensuring that Fruits remains a reliable platform for its users.
Has Fruits faced any controversy or risks?
Fruits has faced regulatory scrutiny related to compliance with local laws in various jurisdictions, particularly concerning its token distribution and marketing practices. In early 2023, the project received inquiries from regulatory bodies regarding its adherence to securities regulations, prompting the team to conduct a thorough review of its operations. To address these concerns, Fruits implemented a series of compliance measures, including updating its whitepaper to clarify the token's utility and revising its marketing strategies to ensure transparency. Additionally, the project has encountered technical risks associated with smart contract vulnerabilities. In mid-2023, a minor exploit was identified, which allowed unauthorized access to certain features. The team responded promptly by deploying a patch and conducting a comprehensive audit of the smart contracts to prevent future incidents. Ongoing risks for Fruits include market volatility and potential regulatory changes, which the team mitigates through regular audits, community engagement, and transparent communication about its compliance efforts.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
