What is DiemLibre?
DiemLibre (DLB) is a cryptocurrency project launched in 2021, designed to facilitate seamless digital payments and financial transactions. It aims to provide a stable and efficient medium of exchange, addressing the challenges of volatility often associated with cryptocurrencies. The project operates on a proprietary blockchain that utilizes a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism, enabling fast and secure transactions. Its native token, DLB, serves multiple functions, including transaction fees, staking rewards, and governance participation, allowing holders to influence the project's development and decision-making processes. DiemLibre stands out for its focus on financial inclusion and accessibility, particularly in regions with limited banking infrastructure. By leveraging blockchain technology, it seeks to empower users with a reliable and user-friendly platform for digital finance, positioning itself as a significant player in the evolving landscape of cryptocurrency and decentralized finance.
When and how did DiemLibre start?
DiemLibre originated in March 2021 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technical framework. The project launched its testnet in June 2021, allowing developers and early adopters to experiment with the platform's features and functionalities. This marked the initial public availability of DiemLibre's ecosystem. Early development focused on creating a decentralized financial platform that aimed to enhance accessibility and usability for users in various regions. The mainnet was subsequently launched in December 2021, transitioning the project from a testing phase to a fully operational blockchain network. The token's initial distribution occurred through a fair launch model in early 2022, which aimed to ensure equitable access to the token for a broad audience. These foundational steps established DiemLibre's growth trajectory and set the stage for its ongoing development and community engagement.
What’s coming up for DiemLibre?
According to official updates, DiemLibre is preparing for a significant protocol upgrade aimed at enhancing scalability and performance, scheduled for Q1 2024. This upgrade will introduce new features designed to improve transaction speeds and reduce fees, thereby enhancing user experience. Additionally, DiemLibre is working on strategic partnerships with several decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms, expected to be finalized by mid-2024. These collaborations aim to expand the ecosystem and increase the utility of DiemLibre tokens within various financial applications. Progress on these initiatives will be monitored through updates on their official channels, ensuring transparency and community engagement as they move forward with their roadmap.

These indicators support its continued relevance within the cryptocurrency sector, as it adapts to market demands and user needs.
Who is DiemLibre designed for?
DiemLibre is designed for a diverse range of users, primarily targeting consumers and institutions looking for a reliable payment solution. It enables them to conduct transactions efficiently and securely, facilitating everyday purchases and business operations. The platform provides essential tools and resources, including user-friendly wallets and APIs, to support seamless integration and usage. Secondary participants, such as developers and validators, engage with DiemLibre through governance and staking mechanisms. Developers can utilize SDKs and documentation to build applications on the DiemLibre network, while validators contribute to the network's security and consensus processes. This collaborative environment fosters innovation and enhances the overall functionality of the ecosystem, ensuring that all participants can achieve their respective goals effectively.
How is DiemLibre secured?
DiemLibre employs a Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism, where a network of validators is responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the blockchain. In this model, stakeholders can delegate their voting power to trusted validators, who are then tasked with producing new blocks and validating transactions. This structure enhances transaction finality and scalability. The network utilizes advanced cryptographic techniques, including Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), to ensure secure authentication and data integrity. Each transaction is signed with a private key, which is verified by the network using the corresponding public key, safeguarding against unauthorized access and fraud. Incentives for validators are aligned through a reward system, where they earn transaction fees and block rewards for their contributions. To discourage malicious behavior, the protocol incorporates slashing mechanisms, penalizing validators who act dishonestly or fail to fulfill their responsibilities. Additional security measures include regular audits, governance processes that involve community participation, and a multi-client architecture to enhance resilience against potential vulnerabilities.
Has DiemLibre faced any controversy or risks?
DiemLibre has faced regulatory scrutiny and community concerns regarding its compliance with local laws and financial regulations since its inception. In particular, the project encountered challenges related to its governance structure and the potential for centralization, which raised alarms among community members about the project's commitment to decentralization principles. The team addressed these concerns by implementing a more transparent governance framework and engaging with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with applicable laws. Additionally, DiemLibre has been proactive in conducting security audits and establishing a bug bounty program to identify and mitigate technical vulnerabilities. Ongoing risks include market volatility and regulatory changes, which are common in the cryptocurrency space. To mitigate these risks, DiemLibre emphasizes transparency in its operations and maintains a robust development practice that includes regular updates and community engagement to adapt to the evolving landscape.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
