GlobalBoost (BSTY)
What is GlobalBoost?
GlobalBoost (BSTY) is a cryptocurrency project launched in 2018, designed to facilitate fast and secure transactions while providing a platform for decentralized applications. The project operates on its own blockchain, utilizing a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism that enhances scalability and energy efficiency. The native token, BSTY, serves multiple purposes within the ecosystem, including transaction fees, staking rewards, and governance participation, allowing holders to influence project decisions. GlobalBoost distinguishes itself through its focus on user-friendly interfaces and integration with various payment systems, making it accessible for both individual users and businesses. This emphasis on usability and versatility positions GlobalBoost as a significant player in the cryptocurrency space, aiming to bridge the gap between traditional finance and blockchain technology.
When and how did GlobalBoost start?
GlobalBoost originated in November 2017 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technical framework. The project launched its testnet in early 2018, providing developers and early adopters with an opportunity to explore its functionalities and contribute to its development. Following this, the mainnet was officially launched in June 2018, marking the token's transition to a fully operational blockchain environment. Early development focused on creating a decentralized platform that aimed to enhance the efficiency of transactions and provide users with a robust ecosystem for digital asset management. The initial distribution of GlobalBoost tokens occurred through an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in December 2017, which helped raise funds for further development and marketing efforts. These foundational steps established the groundwork for GlobalBoost's growth and the establishment of its community.
What’s coming up for GlobalBoost?
According to official updates, GlobalBoost is preparing for a significant protocol upgrade aimed at enhancing transaction speed and security, scheduled for Q1 2024. This upgrade is expected to improve the overall user experience and scalability of the platform. Additionally, GlobalBoost is working on integrating with several decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms, with partnerships targeted for completion by mid-2024. These initiatives are designed to expand the ecosystem and increase user engagement. Progress on these milestones will be monitored through their official channels, ensuring transparency and community involvement in the development process.

Who is GlobalBoost designed for?
GlobalBoost is designed for developers and consumers, enabling them to engage in a decentralized economy through efficient and scalable solutions. It provides essential tools and resources, including APIs and SDKs, to facilitate the development of applications and services on its platform. This empowers developers to create innovative projects while ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. Secondary participants, such as validators and liquidity providers, play a crucial role in maintaining the network's integrity and functionality. They engage through staking and governance mechanisms, contributing to the overall stability and growth of the GlobalBoost ecosystem. By catering to both primary and secondary user groups, GlobalBoost fosters a collaborative environment that supports a diverse range of use cases and applications.
How is GlobalBoost secured?
GlobalBoost employs a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the network. This model allows participants to stake their tokens, which are then used to validate transactions, ensuring that only those with a vested interest in the network can influence its operations. The protocol utilizes advanced cryptographic techniques, including Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), to secure transactions and ensure data integrity. This cryptography provides a robust framework for authentication, safeguarding against unauthorized access and ensuring that all transactions are verifiable. Incentives for participants are aligned through staking rewards, which are distributed to validators for their contributions to the network. Additionally, the protocol incorporates slashing mechanisms that penalize malicious behavior, such as double-signing or failing to validate transactions properly. This discourages dishonest actions and promotes a secure environment. To further enhance security, GlobalBoost undergoes regular audits and maintains governance processes that involve community participation. This multi-faceted approach, combined with client diversity, contributes to the overall resilience and security of the network.
Has GlobalBoost faced any controversy or risks?
GlobalBoost has faced some risks primarily related to technical vulnerabilities and market fluctuations. In early 2021, the project encountered a security incident involving a smart contract exploit that resulted in a temporary loss of funds. The development team responded promptly by conducting a thorough audit of the affected contracts and implementing necessary patches to enhance security. They also initiated a bug bounty program to incentivize community members to identify potential vulnerabilities. Additionally, GlobalBoost has navigated regulatory uncertainties, particularly concerning compliance with evolving cryptocurrency regulations. The team has engaged with legal advisors to ensure adherence to relevant laws and has maintained transparency with its community regarding compliance efforts. Ongoing risks for GlobalBoost include market volatility and potential technical challenges inherent in blockchain technology. The project mitigates these risks through regular audits, community engagement, and a commitment to continuous development and improvement of its platform.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
