Beers (BEER)
What is Beers?
Beers is a cryptocurrency that operates as a token on the Ethereum blockchain. Its core purpose is to facilitate transactions within the blockchain project focused on the beer industry, enabling users to buy, sell, and trade beer-related products and services. The Beers token aims to create a decentralized ecosystem that supports breweries and beer enthusiasts, enhancing community engagement and accessibility in the craft beer market. With its unique approach, Beers seeks to revolutionize how consumers interact with breweries while promoting the growth of the craft beer community.
When and how did Beers start?
Beers was launched in 2021, created by a team of blockchain enthusiasts aiming to combine the worlds of cryptocurrency and the beer industry. The project focuses on building a decentralized platform for beer enthusiasts and breweries, allowing users to trade and invest in beer-related assets. Beers was initially listed on several decentralized exchanges shortly after its launch, which contributed to its early adoption and community growth. The project has since gained attention for its unique approach to integrating blockchain technology with the craft beer market.
What’s coming up for Beers?
Beers is gearing up for an exciting phase with its latest roadmap updates, focusing on community engagement and platform expansion. Upcoming features include enhanced staking options and a decentralized marketplace, aimed at increasing utility and user participation. The community plans to host a series of events to foster collaboration and gather feedback, ensuring that future developments align with user needs. As Beers evolves, it aims to solidify its position in the NFT space, enhancing the overall ecosystem for beer enthusiasts and collectors alike. Keep an eye out for these upgrades, as they promise to elevate the Beers experience significantly.
What makes Beers stand out?
Beers stands out from other cryptocurrencies due to its unique focus on the brewing industry, integrating blockchain technology to enhance transparency and traceability in beer production. Its tokenomics include rewards for users who engage in eco-friendly brewing practices, fostering a sustainable ecosystem while promoting real-world use cases in the beverage sector. Compared to traditional cryptocurrencies, Beers employs a hybrid consensus mechanism that combines proof-of-stake and proof-of-work, ensuring both security and energy efficiency.
What can you do with Beers?
Beers is primarily used for payments within various platforms, facilitating transactions and purchases. Additionally, it serves as a utility token for staking in DeFi apps, allowing users to earn rewards and participate in governance decisions. The token also supports NFTs, enabling users to engage with digital collectibles and unique assets in the ecosystem.
Is Beers still active or relevant?
Beers is currently active and still traded on several exchanges, indicating ongoing interest from the community. Development updates have been sporadic, but there are signs of engagement from the developers. Overall, the project does not appear to be inactive or abandoned, maintaining a presence in the crypto space.
Who is Beers designed for?
Beers is primarily built for a niche community of beer enthusiasts and collectors who appreciate the intersection of craft brewing and blockchain technology. Its target audience includes investors looking to engage with unique digital assets tied to the beer industry, as well as businesses in the brewing sector seeking innovative ways to connect with their customers. This platform fosters a community of users who value both the cultural significance of beer and the benefits of decentralized finance (DeFi).
How is Beers secured?
Beers secures its network through a unique Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, which enhances blockchain protection by allowing validators to participate in block creation based on the number of tokens they hold and are willing to "stake." This model not only promotes decentralization but also incentivizes validators to act honestly, thereby ensuring robust network security and integrity.
Has Beers faced any controversy or risks?
Beers has faced significant challenges, including concerns over extreme volatility that can lead to substantial financial losses for investors. Additionally, the project has been associated with a security incident where users reported hacks compromising their funds, raising alarms about its security measures. Legal issues have also emerged, as regulatory scrutiny increases in the cryptocurrency space, posing further risks to its legitimacy and stability.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
