Ubisoft Is Launching A Blockchain-based Game, Possibile Free Tokens Drop
Ubisoft is launching a blockchain-based game, Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles, on PC.
Ubisoft, a big video game company, is making a new blockchain-based game. The company has been experimenting with blockchain for years. Their new game is called Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles.
Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles is a PvP role-playing game for computers. We don't know much about the game yet, as there are no screenshots, and the trailer only gives a small idea of what the fantasy world might look like.
This will be the first game Ubisoft builds on Oasys, a blockchain network for games. Other big companies like Square Enix, Sega, and Bandai Namco are also interested in this network.
The game will be available through a special app on your computer. The official website hints that there will be a free drop at launch, which might mean players will need an NFT or token to play, but Ubisoft might offer these for free at first.
Ubisoft made headlines in late 2021 when it announced that it would create limited edition NFT-based items for the PC version of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
