Fake 'Trezor Wallet Suite' App Scam causes Security Concerns on Apple's App Store.

A dangerous app pretending to be the crypto wallet Trezor was recently removed from Apple's App Store. Rafael Yakobi from Crypto Lawyers raised the alarm about this on June 20. The fake "Trezor Wallet Suite" app could steal users' cryptocurrency by asking for their "seed phrase."

Even though Apple removed this fake app quickly, there are still similar risky apps on the App Store. For example, an app named "MyTREZŌR Suite: One Edition" may also be harmful. This app has only two reviews, both warning that it's a scam.

Apple says that it checks all apps on its App Store for safety. But, the best way to download crypto wallet apps is from the official websites of their creators

Apple has strict rules about approving cryptocurrency apps. But even with these rules, it's difficult to keep the App Store free from scams

This isn't a new problem. In 2021, a user lost $600,000 in Bitcoin after downloading a fake Trezor app from the App Store.
