Ducati ventures into the digital world, partnering with XRP Ledger to launch its first-ever digital collectible.

Italian motorcycle maker Ducati is working with XRP Ledger to launch its first digital collectible, a video sequence of all the Ducati logos used on their motorcycles since 1946. This is Ducati's first move into the Web3 digital space.

The digital collectible was  launched on Wednesday, 26 July, as a gift to Ducati fans. Users need to sign up within seven days of the launch. Those who get this first collectible will get early access to future projects.

Ducati's upcoming projects will use Ripple, which provides technical support on the fast, low-cost, and carbon-neutral XRP Ledger (XRPL) blockchain. Ducati will create digital gathering spaces, NFT collections, and more. They say this is the next step in their digital strategy.

Ducati is also working with Web3 Pro, a company that worked with Lamborghini, Ducati's parent company, on an NFT collection called "The Epic Road Trip." Ducati's CEO, Claudio Domenicali, said that moving into the Web3 space allows Ducati to offer more services to their community and reach new NFT enthusiasts.

The move into Web3 comes after Ducati announced plans to use this sector over a year ago. It also follows Ripple's partial win against the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Ripple reported that the XRPL's activity stayed strong in Q1, with transactions up by 9%. NFTs continue to be a major part of the activity on the Ledger.
