According to the case filed, This is how the romance scam worked. The scam had three groups. First, "The solicitors'' who made friends or romantic connections on social media, making efforts to gain the trust of the victim before convincing these people to open trading accounts with Debiex. Next, "The customer service" managed these accounts. Lastly, "money mules" These players provided digital wallets, which were utilized by the crypto exchange to receive and misappropriate users’ funds.
The CFTC claims that Debiex successfully cheated five Asian Americans, taking $2.3 million from them. The CFTC wants the court to make Debiex pay back the money, fine them, and stop them from breaking more rules.

Regulatory bodies and the crypto community must work together to protect users from such scams and ensure a safer environment for digital currency trading.
