Ripple launches easy payment service for global trades & partners with Onafriq for faster, cheaper transfers in Africa!

Ripple, a big name in crypto-payments, is making moves to expand in the US and Africa. They've upgraded their service, now called Ripple Payments, to help more US companies do business overseas easily. At the same time, they've joined forces with African fintech Onafriq to make money moves between Africa and other places like the UK and Australia smoother.

At a big event in Dubai, Ripple's Payment Chief, Brendan Berry, talked about how Ripple Payments is all about ease. Companies won't need to be crypto-savvy to use it And it will be easy for US and some country firms to integrate, Thanks to Ripple's own licenses in places like the US.

Ripple's main clients have been financial pros, but now they're opening up to businesses that need to pay across borders without troubles. With Ripple, they can pay international suppliers or employees fast. This service is kicking off in the US with plans to grow it further in the coming year.

The partnership with Onafriq is big news too. It will make sending money to Africa quicker and cheaper for customers of certain companies in the UK, GCC, and Australia. Onafriq is already a top dog in mobile money in Africa, linking up 500 million wallets in 40 countries.

Ripple's bigwig, Aaron Sears, believes this link-up will make a real difference for people sending money to Africa, showing how Ripple's technology can change the game in global payments.
