Polygon Partners with Casio a Famous Watch Company
Casio teams up with Polygon for a new virtual G-SHOCK project, bringing 15,000 special digital items to fans worldwide.
Polygon (MATIC)and the famous watch company Casio are teaming up. Casio plans to start a virtual project called G-SHOCK. They want to connect the famous G-SHOCK watches with their fans worldwide. They will make 15,000 special G-SHOCK digital items called NFTs on Polygon's system, starting September 23, 2023.
G-SHOCK, a popular watch since 1983, has worked with famous people in fashion, sports, and more. Now, they are using new digital ideas like NFTs to grow even more. Their virtual community will let people come together and create new things.
They will start this project on Discord, a US chat platform. Here, they will give out the 15,000 special digital passes (NFTs). If you have one, you can join special events and projects. One project lets members design and choose the look of the pass.
Casio said this project is just the start of many virtual things they want to do for G-SHOCK fans. They chose Polygon because it's fast, easy, and good for the environment. Casio's top watch manager said they picked Polygon because it's easy for users.
Big companies like Nike, Adidas, Disney, and others also use Polygon for their digital projects. This shows many big brands trust Polygon.
