Ethereum's holder metrics reveal a decline in holders possessing over 10,000 ETH and supply on exchanges, while a significant increase in staking activities is observed, amidst Ethereum's recent price surge nearing the $2,000 mark.

Ethereum's [ETH] holder data has recently exhibited a drop, signifying a decrease in specific key metrics. Recent figures show that certain groups of ETH holders have reached a record low.

Data reveals a troubling trend among holders possessing over 10,000 ETH, with the numbers dwindling since April and experiencing a more drastic dip in May. Currently, there are only 1,139 holders with more than 10,000 coins, a two-year low.

Ethereum's supply on exchanges has also been decreasing in the past months, adding mystery to the ETH holdings dynamics. This drop comes amidst the Shappella upgrade and the activation of ETH staking.

The Netflow metric on Glassnode indicates a dominant outflow trend, with more Ethereum leaving than coming in. A considerable negative value surpassing 70,000 ETH is currently observed.

Interestingly, the outflows may not be directly entering the market for exchange sales but could be channeled towards ETH staking.

The total value staked in Ethereum shows a steady rise, reaching over 24 million ETH currently, with the number of deposits also showing consistent growth, surpassing 778,000 deposits.

Finally, Ethereum's price trend has recently breached its short Moving Average, coinciding with a 2.4% price increase on June 2. Ethereum is currently trading around $1,900, moving closer to the psychological $2,000 mark.
