Apple Removes Metamask From its AppStore
Apple removes MetaMask app, a key tool for digital money, from the App Store; users and company respond.
Apple has reportedly taken down MetaMask, a top cryptocurrency wallet app, from its App Store.
When people try to find the app in the store, they just see a page that says "Connecting…" and they can't get any further. This is unusual and doesn’t happen with other apps.
If Apple really has removed MetaMask, this means users who delete it can't get it back. They also can't get new updates to make the app safer and better, which is really important for apps that manage things like cryptocurrency wallets. This could be a big problem for people who use MetaMask to manage their digital money safely.
Metamask responded with a post on X saying,
“We're aware that MetaMask isn't currently available for download on the App Store. This is not related to anything malicious and our team is working hard to resolve it ASAP.”
They did this to assure their users and avoid panic. They also stated that they are working on getting their app back on the app store as soon as possible.
