US Presidential Candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. owns Bitcoin, despite initial denial, according to a recent CNBC report.

Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., from the US Democratic party, initially said he didn't invest in Bitcoin. However, a CNBC report revealed in June that he does own Bitcoin

Kennedy spoke highly of Bitcoin at a conference in Miami in May, and said his campaign would accept Bitcoin donations. But he also said he did not invest in Bitcoin. Yet, a financial report says his family owns between $100,001 and $250,000 in Bitcoin.

His campaign manager, Dennis Kucinich, said there was no conflict of interest because Bitcoin was bought after Kennedy's comments in Miami. At first, Kennedy's campaign said the Bitcoin was owned by Kennedy's wife Cheryl Hines. They later admitted it was Kennedy's.

Kennedy is a strong supporter of Bitcoin among Democrats. Some Republican candidates have also tried to attract Bitcoin users. Despite talking less about Bitcoin recently, Kennedy occasionally tweets in support of it. He believes Bitcoin can help make governments more open and democratic.

Kennedy has won support from some well-known people in the crypto world, including Block CEO Jack Dorsey. But to beat his opponents, he would need to win against current President Joe Biden in the Democratic presidential primaries first. A recent poll shows that 65% of voters would choose Biden and only 14% would choose Kennedy.
