Crypto Adoption In Europe Peaks in 2023 Despite FTX Collapse: Binance Survey
Binance survey shows rising crypto use in Europe, with 73% optimistic and 55% using it daily
Binance, a major crypto exchange, has revealed an interesting survey that highlights the growing adoption and use of crypto in Europe. However, the survey shows that many Europeans are interested in crypto because of the high returns,decentralization,andinnovation.
It is also quite interesting to know that many Europeans now use crypto for daily purchases, with 55% using it for everyday spending and 10% making weekly crypto payments. The survey also revealed that about 73% of Europeans have a positive outlook on crypto's future.
The global number of crypto users jumped to 580 million in 2023, despite a dip at the end of 2022 after the FTX collapse. This growth is an indication that more people are adopting crypto.
Early this year, The U.S. SEC approved 11 Bitcoin ETFs, adding credibility to cryptocurrency. Crypto is also visible in sports and entertainment, like Crypto.com sponsoring the LA Lakers' stadium and the Australian Football League, and OKX sponsoring Manchester City Football Club. These sponsorships boost people’s trust in crypto and attract more users.
