Wallet Draining Software Inferno Issues Warning to Users

Inferno Drainer, a dangerous crypto wallet-draining service, recently announced it's shutting down after it had helped scammers steal nearly $70 million in crypto this year. They announced that their service will stop but its files and the infrastructures needed to run the drainer will stay active to help its users move to another software or similar notorious service provider.
Popularly known since early 2023, they offered software that helped fraudsters to steal crypto and make revenue bytaking a 20% cut from the stolen amount. It was reported by analytic firms that the software stole from over 100,000 victims, with the team claiming over $80 million in thefts.
The team has deleted its affiliate account and warned people against trusting others using its name.
Blockchain security firm CertiK reported Inferno Drainer as one of the most harmful phishing kits. Even as they have ended their services, other software like Pink Drainer and Angel Drainer remain active. a similar software called MonkeyDrainer had shut down earlier in March.
