Leadership shakeup at Polygon Labs as they prepare to launch significant upgrades, 'Polygon 2.0'

Polygon Labs is seeing changes at the top and planning to release new updates called "Polygon 2.0". These changes are expected to help Polygon grow and strengthen its place in the blockchain and cryptocurrency field.

Ryan Wyatt, the president of Polygon Labs for over a year, has said he'll step down from his role by the end of July. However, he plans to stay in the crypto field, offering advice and guidance to Polygon.

Marc Boiron will be the new CEO. He is currently Polygon’s chief legal officer and has also worked as chief legal officer of dYdX. Rebecca Rettig, who now serves as Polygon’s chief policy officer, will take over as chief legal officer after Boiron moves.

These shifts in leadership come at an important time for Polygon. The platform is working hard on a series of updates called "Polygon 2.0", aiming to set up the "Value Layer" of the internet. They plan to achieve one of the main goals, "decentralized governance", by July 17.

Polygon has already made big steps forward, becoming the second-largest blockchain gaming network in terms of unique active wallets, overtaking Hive. The platform and its cryptocurrency, Polygon (MATIC), are becoming more popular, showing the success of Polygon. At the time this article was written, the price of Polygon (MATIC) was $0.68.

With new leadership and the ongoing development of Polygon 2.0, the future for Polygon Labs looks bright. They're expected to continue to make progress in decentralized finance and other areas.
