Solana DeFi Platform Announces Plans to Airdrop 1 Billion JUP Tokens to Users
Jupiter, a key Solana DeFi player, announces a 1 billion JUP token airdrop to users, starting a major giveaway plan.
Jupiter, a DeFi (Decentralized Finance) aggregator on Solana, has announced the launch of its token along with an airdrop of 1 billion JUP tokens to the Solana Defi Users on January 31 at 10:00 am EST. One billion JUP tokens will be given to Solana DeFi users. Meow, Jupiter's founder, made this announcement.
Nearly a million crypto wallets can get JUP tokens from this airdrop. Jupiter has a tool for users to check how much JUP they'll get. The amount of JUP each user gets depends on how much they traded on Jupiter and how often they used it. All users will get at least 200 JUP, and those who had $10 in assets or did 10 transactions before March 2022 will get an extra 500 JUP.
Jupiter is a big DeFi project on Solana, helping users find the best token trading rates. The upcoming airdrop is just the first part of Jupiter's plan to give away more tokens in the future.
Jupiter plans three more airdrops, each with 1 billion JUP. Another 1 billion tokens are for community contributors. In total, 5 billion JUP (half of all JUP tokens) will be given to the community. The Jupiter team will manage the rest, with 2 billion for team members, 2 billion as a reserve, and 1 billion for liquidity.
Meow also said Jupiter will launch a meme coin next week, not called MEOW. This launch is a test for Jupiter's new platform. It's unclear if the meme coin will be distributed like the JUP tokens.
