New FBI Crypto Scam Revealed

People in the city are getting a fake letter that looks like it's really from the FBI, even using the name and signature of a real FBI agent, John S. Morales. The letter, trying to look very official, tells them that their Bank of America account, supposedly under suspicion, is now secure. It gives a fake confirmation number and asks them to call an "investigation officer" for more help.
However, this is all a trick. When people call the number, the scammers tell them to send real money or cryptocurrency to a fake website they control.
This scam was found out when an El Paso resident told the real FBI about the letter last week. It's important to remember: the FBI will never send letters, make calls, or send emails asking for money or cryptocurrency.
In El Paso, there are also other scams pretending to be police, utility companies, and government offices.
