LayerZero announces $ZRO token airdrop, supporting 54 networks with innovative tech. Backed by top investors, aiming for web3 growth.

LayerZero, a blockchain interoperability protocol, announces an airdrop of its new governance token $ZRO. The airdrop, set for early next year, will distribute 12 million $ZRO tokens based on wallet activity. LayerZero has grown significantly, connecting dozens of blockchain projects, making a governance token important for future growth.

$ZRO tokens are also on private sale, priced between $2.35 and $4.50. These tokens are selling at twice their value in the Series B funding round.

LayerZero's network is vast, supporting 54 networks and top decentralized protocols like Stargate. It has transmitted over 86 million messages across blockchains, showing its critical role in digital asset adoption. Despite the crypto bear market, LayerZero's user base keeps growing, now around 17,000.

Backed by experts and major investors, LayerZero raised $255 million in funding. The team, including CEO Bryan Pellegrino with a Ph.D. in computer science, has notable backers like a16z and Coinbase Ventures. The $ZRO token is expected to have good liquidity for trading on crypto exchanges.

LayerZero stands out with its Ultra Light Nodes (ULNs), which use smart contracts of each blockchain for more efficient operation.

In the broader market view, LayerZero aims to use $ZRO to fund its development and tap into the growing interest in web3 projects. The ZRO token airdrop aligns with the ongoing crypto market recovery, anticipating a boost after the 2024 Bitcoin halving.
