Grayscale Holds over $16 Billion in Bitcoin
Arkham Intelligence reveals Grayscale's big secret: They own over $16 billion in Bitcoin and are a top holder of digital coins worldwide.
Arkham Intelligence found over 1,750 wallets linked to Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, a big Bitcoin holder.
Grayscale says they have a lot of Bitcoin (BTC), but they keep their digital addresses secret for safety. But Arkham shows Grayscale has 627,779,000 BTC, worth more than $16 billion.
People on social platform X (like Twitter) questioned Grayscale's Bitcoin amount. But Arkham's findings prove that Grayscale is a huge Bitcoin owner. They are the second biggest Bitcoin holder in the world. On September 1, Arkham also said Grayscale is the second-largest holder of another digital coin called Ethereum, worth $5 billion.
When searching on Arkham, you can find five wallets linked to Grayscale. Three of these wallets have about $51 million in Bitcoin. The other two don't have money now, but their past activity connects them to Grayscale.
Recently, Grayscale had a win against the U.S. financial watchdog called the SEC. The court told the SEC to think again about Grayscale's request to start a new kind of Bitcoin business. Grayscale wants to offer a special Bitcoin service, but the SEC is worried about unfair market actions.
