Coinbase's Base network hit a record 1.88 million transactions on Sept. 14, surpassing others but still behind Polygon and BSC.

Coinbase's Base network saw a record of 1.88 million daily transactions on Sept. 14, beating its last record from August, as shown by BaseScan data.

This new high passed other networks like Optimism and Arbitrum, which together had 878,000 transactions that day. However, bigger networks like Polygon and BNB Smart Chain (BSC) still had more activity, with 2.1 million and 3.1 million transactions respectively.

Interestingly, while Base had 136,000 active users during its last record, it had fewer, around 86,000, this time, as per Dune Analytics data.

Base started on Aug. 9, letting users do many things like swapping tokens and creating digital art called NFTs. Since its start, it's been popular. For example, on Sept. 6, more than 700,000 NFTs were made on Base, and in its first two weeks, people moved over $242 million of crypto to Base.
