FTX co-founder, Sam Bankman-Fried, asks a US judge for medicine to help focus during his trial, claiming he can't defend himself properly without it.

FTX co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried is having trouble focusing on his court case. He's asked a US judge if he can take a special medicine, Adderall, to help him concentrate.

In a letter, his lawyers told Judge Lewis Kaplan that without this medicine, Bankman-Fried can't concentrate well. They worry he can't properly defend himself in court without it.

Even though he's trying hard, Bankman-Fried finds it tough without his medicine during the trial. His lawyers aren't sure if the long-lasting Adderall will help, but they want to try.

If the medicine doesn't help, the lawyers have asked for a one-day break on Oct. 17. They hope to find another solution. If not, they want the judge to let Bankman-Fried take his Adderall during the trial.

They tried talking to the Bureau of Prisons about this but got no answer. Earlier, Judge Kaplan allowed Bankman-Fried to have Adderall in prison because he has some health problems.

However, his lawyers said he didn't get his medicine for 11 days. Now, his trial is in its third week. Some people have already spoken in court about the case, including FTX co-founder Gary Wang.

Bankman-Fried still claims he didn't do anything wrong and is not guilty.
