Worldcoin To Start Rewarding Orb operators with WLD Token
Worldcoin switches payment for Orb operators to WLD coins from USDC, but it's not available in America and some places. Changes start November 2023.
Recently, the Worldcoin Foundation decided to pay Orb operators with their own digital coin, WLD, instead of the usual stablecoin called USDC. But, people in America and a few other places can't get the WLD coin now.
Since Worldcoin started in July 2023, they paid Orb operators with USDC coins. They called this the “transitional period”. Now, this period is ending, and fromNovember 2023, these operators will get paid in WLD coins.
The number of WLD coins has grown since it started. It began with 100 million coins and now has 134 million. Some of these coins were given as loans, some as gifts, and about 34.4 million were given away for free.
