The project aims to empower users by providing tools and resources for financial independence and innovation. VOLT operates on the Ethereum blockchain, utilizing a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism that enables efficient transaction processing and smart contract functionality. Its native token, VOLT, serves multiple purposes, including transaction fees, staking rewards, and governance participation, allowing holders to influence project decisions and developments. What sets VOLT apart is its focus on community-driven initiatives and educational resources, which aim to onboard new users into the crypto space while promoting responsible financial practices. This emphasis on user empowerment and accessibility positions VOLT as a significant player in the evolving DeFi landscape, catering to both seasoned investors and newcomers alike.
When and how did VOLT start?
VOLT originated in December 2021 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technical framework. The project launched its testnet in March 2022, allowing developers and early adopters to engage with the platform and provide feedback. Following the successful testnet phase, the mainnet was launched in June 2022, marking the token's official entry into the market. Early development focused on creating a robust ecosystem that supports decentralized applications and enhances user engagement. The initial distribution of VOLT tokens occurred through a fair launch model in July 2022, which aimed to ensure equitable access for all participants. These foundational steps established VOLT's growth trajectory and set the stage for its ongoing development and community involvement.
What’s coming up for VOLT?
According to official updates, VOLT is preparing for a significant protocol upgrade planned for Q1 2024, which aims to enhance scalability and transaction speed. This upgrade is expected to introduce new features that will improve user experience and overall network performance. Additionally, VOLT is targeting a strategic partnership with a major blockchain platform, anticipated to be finalized in mid-2024, which will facilitate broader adoption and integration of VOLT within the ecosystem. These milestones are designed to strengthen VOLT's position in the market and enhance its utility for users. Progress on these initiatives will be tracked through the project's official channels and roadmap updates.

Who is VOLT designed for?
VOLT is designed for a diverse audience, primarily targeting developers and consumers. It enables developers to create and integrate applications that leverage the VOLT ecosystem, facilitating innovation and enhancing user experiences. The platform provides essential tools and resources, including SDKs and APIs, to support seamless development and deployment of applications. Consumers benefit from VOLT by accessing a range of services that utilize the token for payments and utility purposes, enhancing their engagement with the platform. Additionally, secondary participants such as validators and liquidity providers play a crucial role in maintaining network security and liquidity. They engage through staking and governance mechanisms, contributing to the overall stability and growth of the VOLT ecosystem. This collaborative structure fosters a vibrant community that supports both individual users and developers in achieving their goals within the blockchain space.
How is VOLT secured?
VOLT employs a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators confirm transactions and maintain the integrity of the network. In this model, participants can become validators by staking a certain amount of VOLT tokens, which allows them to propose and validate new blocks. This staking requirement not only secures the network but also aligns the interests of validators with the overall health of the ecosystem. The protocol utilizes advanced cryptographic techniques, such as Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), to ensure secure authentication and data integrity. This cryptography safeguards against unauthorized access and ensures that transactions are verifiable and tamper-proof. Incentives for validators are structured through staking rewards, which are distributed for their participation in the network. Additionally, a slashing mechanism is in place to penalize malicious behavior or negligence, thereby discouraging actions that could compromise network security. The network also benefits from regular audits and governance processes, which enhance its resilience and adaptability to potential threats.
Has VOLT faced any controversy or risks?
VOLT has faced some controversy related to its community governance and tokenomics. In mid-2022, concerns arose regarding the distribution of tokens and the transparency of the project's financial practices. Some community members expressed dissatisfaction with the allocation of funds and the decision-making processes, leading to discussions about governance reforms. The team responded by initiating a community vote to address these concerns, which resulted in a revised governance structure aimed at increasing transparency and participation. Additionally, there have been risks associated with market volatility, typical for many cryptocurrencies. The team has implemented measures to mitigate these risks, including regular audits and updates to their smart contracts to enhance security. Ongoing risks include regulatory scrutiny and market fluctuations, which the project addresses through proactive communication with its community and adherence to best practices in development and security audits.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
