Wicked (WICKED) is a decentralized finance (DeFi) project launched in 2021. It was created to provide users with innovative financial solutions, including yield farming and liquidity provision, while enhancing user engagement through gamified elements. The project operates on the Ethereum blockchain, utilizing smart contracts to facilitate transactions and automate processes. The native token, WICKED, serves multiple functions within the ecosystem, including governance, staking, and as a medium for transaction fees. Users can stake WICKED tokens to earn rewards and participate in decision-making processes regarding the platform's future developments. Wicked stands out for its unique integration of gamification within the DeFi space, aiming to attract a broader audience by making financial activities more engaging and accessible. This innovative approach positions Wicked as a notable player in the evolving landscape of decentralized finance.
When and how did Wicked start?
Wicked originated in March 2021 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technical framework. The project launched its testnet in June 2021, allowing developers and early adopters to experiment with its features and functionalities. Following successful testing, the mainnet was launched in September 2021, marking its official entry into the market. Early development focused on creating a robust ecosystem that supports decentralized applications and enhances user engagement through innovative features. The initial distribution of the Wicked token occurred via a fair launch model in October 2021, which aimed to ensure equitable access for participants. These foundational steps established Wicked's growth trajectory and set the stage for its ongoing development within the blockchain space.

Overall, WICKED is designed to foster a vibrant community and a robust infrastructure for both users and developers.
Is Wicked still active or relevant?
Wicked remains active through a recent governance proposal announced in September 2023, which focused on enhancing community engagement and expanding its ecosystem. Development currently emphasizes improving user experience and integrating new features that align with market demands. The project has maintained a presence on several major exchanges, with consistent trading volume indicating ongoing interest from investors and users alike. Additionally, Wicked has established partnerships with various platforms, enhancing its utility within the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector. The project’s active social media channels reflect a vibrant community, with regular updates and discussions about future developments. These indicators support its continued relevance within the DeFi landscape, showcasing Wicked's commitment to innovation and community involvement.
Who is Wicked designed for?
Wicked is designed for developers and consumers, enabling them to create and utilize decentralized applications effectively. It provides essential tools and resources, including SDKs and APIs, to facilitate development and integration within the ecosystem. The platform aims to empower developers by offering a robust infrastructure that supports the creation of innovative solutions while ensuring ease of access for end-users. Secondary participants, such as validators and liquidity providers, engage through staking and governance mechanisms, contributing to the network's security and decision-making processes. This collaborative environment fosters a vibrant community, allowing various stakeholders to participate actively in the growth and evolution of the Wicked ecosystem. By catering to both primary and secondary user groups, Wicked aims to create a comprehensive platform that meets diverse needs and drives adoption across the blockchain landscape.
How is Wicked secured?
Wicked employs a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the network. In this model, participants must stake a certain amount of Wicked tokens to become validators, which incentivizes them to act honestly, as their staked tokens can be slashed in the event of malicious behavior. The network utilizes advanced cryptographic techniques, including Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), to ensure secure authentication and data integrity. This cryptography protects against unauthorized access and ensures that transactions are valid and tamper-proof. Incentives are aligned through staking rewards, which are distributed to validators for their participation in the network, while penalties, or slashing, are imposed on those who attempt to compromise the system. Additionally, Wicked incorporates regular audits and governance processes to enhance security and resilience, ensuring that the network remains robust against potential threats.
Has Wicked faced any controversy or risks?
Wicked has faced regulatory scrutiny related to its compliance with local laws and regulations, particularly concerning its token distribution and marketing practices. In early 2023, the project was investigated by regulatory authorities for potential violations of securities laws, which raised concerns within the community about its operational legitimacy. The team responded by enhancing their compliance measures, including a thorough review of their tokenomics and marketing strategies to align with regulatory expectations. Additionally, Wicked has encountered technical risks, including vulnerabilities in smart contracts that were identified during routine audits. The team promptly addressed these issues by implementing patches and conducting further audits to ensure the security of their platform. Ongoing risks include market volatility and potential future regulatory changes, which the team aims to mitigate through transparent communication with stakeholders and regular updates on compliance efforts.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
