Ripple Prime adds first DeFi protocol

Ripple integrated Hyperliquid into its Ripple Prime brokerage platform on 4 February 2026. The integration marks Ripple Prime's first decentralized finance (DeFi) platform addition. Hyperliquid operates as a decentralized derivatives exchange that enables onchain perpetual futures trading. Ripple Prime institutional clients can now access Hyperliquid's trading infrastructure directly through the brokerage platform.

Hidden Road acquisition forms platform base

Ripple acquired Hidden Road for $1.25 billion in October 2025. The company rebranded Hidden Road as Ripple Prime after completing the acquisition. Hidden Road operated as a non-bank prime broker before the acquisition. The deal represented one of the largest transactions in digital asset industry history.
