The native token, RSN, serves multiple functions within the ecosystem, including transaction fees, staking, and governance, allowing holders to participate in decision-making processes related to the platform's development. Rosen Bridge stands out for its innovative approach to cross-chain communication, which not only enhances user experience but also promotes greater liquidity and utility of digital assets across different networks. This positions Rosen Bridge as a significant player in the evolving landscape of blockchain technology, aiming to simplify and enhance the way users interact with multiple blockchain environments.
When and how did Rosen Bridge start?
Rosen Bridge originated in March 2022 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technical framework. The project launched its testnet in June 2022, allowing developers and users to explore its functionalities and provide feedback before the official release. Following successful testing, the mainnet was launched in September 2022, marking its initial public availability and enabling users to interact with the platform fully. Early development focused on creating a seamless cross-chain bridge that facilitates asset transfers between different blockchain networks. The token's initial distribution occurred through a fair launch model in October 2022, which aimed to ensure equitable access for early adopters and community members. These foundational steps established the groundwork for Rosen Bridge's growth and the development of its ecosystem.

Is Rosen Bridge still active or relevant?
Rosen Bridge remains active through a recent upgrade announced in September 2023, which focused on enhancing cross-chain interoperability and security features. The project continues to maintain a presence in the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem, with integrations across various platforms that facilitate asset transfers between different blockchains. As of October 2023, Rosen Bridge has seen consistent trading volume on multiple exchanges, indicating ongoing user engagement and interest. The project also has an active governance model, with recent proposals aimed at improving user experience and expanding its ecosystem partnerships. These developments underscore Rosen Bridge's relevance in the blockchain space, particularly in the context of cross-chain solutions, which are increasingly important as the demand for interoperability grows among decentralized applications.
Who is Rosen Bridge designed for?
Rosen Bridge is designed for developers and users, enabling them to facilitate seamless cross-chain transactions and enhance interoperability between different blockchain networks. It provides essential tools and resources, including SDKs and APIs, to support the development of decentralized applications and services that leverage multiple blockchain ecosystems. Secondary participants such as validators and liquidity providers engage with Rosen Bridge through staking and governance mechanisms, contributing to the network's security and decision-making processes. This collaborative environment fosters innovation and allows creators to build and deploy applications that meet diverse user needs, thereby enriching the overall ecosystem. By catering to both primary and secondary user groups, Rosen Bridge aims to create a robust platform that enhances connectivity and usability across the blockchain landscape.
How is Rosen Bridge secured?
Rosen Bridge employs a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the network. Validators are selected based on the amount of cryptocurrency they stake, which incentivizes them to act honestly, as their stake can be slashed for malicious behavior or failure to validate correctly. The protocol utilizes advanced cryptographic techniques, including Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), to ensure secure authentication and data integrity. This cryptography safeguards transactions and prevents unauthorized access or tampering. Incentive alignment is achieved through staking rewards, which are distributed to validators for their participation in the network. Additionally, the system incorporates slashing penalties to deter dishonest actions, ensuring that validators have a vested interest in the network's security. To further enhance security, Rosen Bridge undergoes regular audits and maintains governance processes that involve community participation, contributing to the overall resilience and reliability of the network.
Has Rosen Bridge faced any controversy or risks?
Rosen Bridge has faced risks typical of cross-chain bridges, particularly concerning security vulnerabilities. In early 2023, the platform experienced a significant incident involving a smart contract exploit that resulted in the loss of user funds. The team responded promptly by pausing bridge operations to prevent further losses and initiated a thorough audit of the smart contracts involved. Following the incident, they implemented a series of upgrades to enhance security measures, including the introduction of multi-signature wallets and improved monitoring systems. Additionally, the team has established a bug bounty program to incentivize community members to identify potential vulnerabilities before they can be exploited. Ongoing risks for Rosen Bridge include market volatility, regulatory scrutiny, and the inherent technical challenges associated with bridging assets across different blockchains. To mitigate these risks, the project emphasizes transparency in its operations and commits to regular security audits to maintain user trust and platform integrity.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).

Historical Market Depth is showing the history of liquidity from the markets for a given asset. It’s a measure of combined liquidity from all integrated markets on the coinpaprika’s market depth module.
