The project gained traction following its initial listing on several decentralized exchanges, which helped establish its presence in the competitive DeFi landscape. Notable early events include strategic partnerships that expanded its utility and community engagement efforts, fostering a growing user base.
What’s coming up for PIPA?
PIPA is set to enhance its ecosystem with the upcoming roadmap update, which includes the launch of a decentralized marketplace aimed at fostering community engagement. Future plans also involve integrating advanced smart contract capabilities, allowing for more complex transactions and applications. Additionally, the PIPA community is focused on expanding educational resources to empower users and developers alike, ensuring a robust understanding of the platform's potential. As PIPA evolves, its use cases are expected to broaden, paving the way for innovative solutions in decentralized finance and beyond.
What makes PIPA stand out?
PIPA stands out from other cryptocurrencies due to its unique hybrid consensus mechanism that combines Proof of Stake and Proof of Authority, ensuring both security and scalability. Unlike many traditional cryptocurrencies, PIPA features a robust tokenomics model that incentivizes community participation and offers real-world use cases in decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, enhancing its utility within the ecosystem. This innovative approach positions PIPA as a forward-thinking project in the rapidly evolving crypto landscape.
What can you do with PIPA?
PIPA is primarily used for payments within various platforms, facilitating seamless transactions. It also serves as a utility token for staking, allowing users to earn rewards while participating in the network's governance. Additionally, PIPA is integrated into DeFi apps and NFTs, enhancing its utility across decentralized finance and digital asset ecosystems.
Is PIPA still active or relevant?
PIPA is currently active, with ongoing development and a dedicated community presence. It is still traded on several exchanges, indicating sustained interest and engagement. Recent updates from developers suggest that the project is not abandoned and continues to evolve.
Who is PIPA designed for?
PIPA is built for a niche community of gamers and developers, aiming to enhance the gaming experience through blockchain integration. Its target audience includes investors looking for innovative gaming solutions and businesses seeking to leverage decentralized technologies in their gaming platforms. The project fosters a collaborative environment for users interested in the intersection of gaming and blockchain.
How is PIPA secured?
PIPA secures its network through a unique Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are selected based on the amount of cryptocurrency they hold and are willing to "stake" as collateral. This approach enhances network security by incentivizing honest behavior among validators, while also providing efficient blockchain protection against malicious attacks. Through this model, PIPA ensures robust consensus and integrity within its decentralized ecosystem.
Has PIPA faced any controversy or risks?
PIPA has faced significant risks, including extreme volatility that can lead to substantial financial losses for investors. There have been reports of security incidents and hacks affecting the platform, raising concerns about the safety of user funds. Additionally, the project has encountered controversies related to potential rug pulls, prompting scrutiny from the crypto community and legal issues surrounding its operations.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).

Historical Market Depth is showing the history of liquidity from the markets for a given asset. It’s a measure of combined liquidity from all integrated markets on the coinpaprika’s market depth module.
