What is Moge?
Moge (MOGE) is a cryptocurrency project launched in 2023, designed to facilitate decentralized finance (DeFi) solutions and enhance user engagement within the blockchain ecosystem. The project aims to address the challenges of accessibility and usability in DeFi applications, making it easier for users to participate in financial activities without intermediaries. Moge operates on a native Layer 1 blockchain, utilizing a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism that enables efficient transaction processing and energy conservation. Its native token, MOGE, serves multiple functions within the ecosystem, including transaction fees, staking rewards, and governance participation, allowing holders to influence the project's development and decision-making processes. What sets Moge apart is its focus on user-friendly interfaces and educational resources, which aim to onboard new users into the DeFi space. This commitment to accessibility and community engagement positions Moge as a significant player in the evolving landscape of decentralized finance.
When and how did Moge start?
Moge originated in March 2021 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technical framework. The project launched its testnet in June 2021, allowing developers and early adopters to experiment with the platform's features and functionalities. Following successful testing, Moge transitioned to its mainnet launch in November 2021, marking its official entry into the market. Early development focused on creating a decentralized ecosystem aimed at enhancing user engagement and facilitating seamless transactions. The initial distribution of Moge tokens occurred through a fair launch model in December 2021, which aimed to ensure equitable access for participants. These foundational steps established the groundwork for Moge's growth and the development of its community-driven ecosystem.
What’s coming up for Moge?
According to official updates, Moge is preparing for a significant protocol upgrade aimed at enhancing scalability and user experience, scheduled for Q2 2024. This upgrade will introduce new features designed to improve transaction speeds and reduce fees, making the platform more accessible to users. Additionally, Moge is targeting a strategic partnership with a major blockchain ecosystem, expected to be finalized by the end of Q3 2024. This collaboration aims to expand Moge's reach and integrate its services with other platforms, enhancing its utility in the broader crypto space. Progress on these initiatives will be tracked through Moge's official roadmap and development channels.

For developers, MOGE offers tools and resources for building dApps and integrating with existing services, enhancing the overall functionality of the ecosystem. The Moge platform supports various wallets and marketplaces, allowing users to manage their MOGE tokens and engage with other services seamlessly. Overall, MOGE provides a comprehensive suite of utilities that cater to users, holders, and developers alike.
Is Moge still active or relevant?
Moge remains active through a recent governance proposal announced in September 2023, which aims to enhance its ecosystem's functionality. Development currently focuses on improving transaction efficiency and user experience, with ongoing updates to its core protocol. The project has maintained a presence on several major exchanges, ensuring liquidity and accessibility for users. Additionally, Moge has established partnerships with various decentralized applications, further integrating its token into the broader blockchain ecosystem. These indicators support its continued relevance within the decentralized finance sector, as it adapts to market demands and user needs.
Who is Moge designed for?
Moge is designed for a diverse audience, primarily targeting developers and consumers. Developers can leverage Moge to create decentralized applications (dApps) and integrate blockchain functionalities into their projects, enabling them to innovate and build on a secure platform. The project provides essential tools and resources, including software development kits (SDKs) and application programming interfaces (APIs), to facilitate seamless development and deployment. Consumers benefit from Moge by gaining access to a user-friendly interface for transactions and interactions within the ecosystem. This allows them to utilize Moge for various purposes, such as making payments or participating in governance decisions. Secondary participants, including validators and liquidity providers, engage with Moge through staking and governance mechanisms. Their involvement helps maintain network security and stability while contributing to the overall growth and sustainability of the Moge ecosystem. This collaborative environment fosters a robust community that supports both development and user engagement.
How is Moge secured?
Moge uses a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators confirm transactions and maintain network integrity by staking their tokens. This model incentivizes participants to act honestly, as they have a financial stake in the network's success. The protocol employs advanced cryptographic techniques, such as Ed25519 for digital signatures, ensuring secure authentication and data integrity. To align incentives, Moge offers staking rewards to validators for their participation in the network, while implementing slashing penalties for malicious behavior or failure to validate transactions correctly. This mechanism discourages dishonest actions and promotes a secure environment for all participants. Additional safeguards include regular audits and a robust governance framework that allows stakeholders to propose and vote on protocol changes. The diversity of client implementations further enhances the network's resilience against potential vulnerabilities, ensuring a secure and reliable platform for users.
Has Moge faced any controversy or risks?
Moge has faced regulatory scrutiny related to compliance with local laws in various jurisdictions, particularly concerning its token distribution and marketing practices. In early 2023, the project received a warning from a regulatory body regarding potential violations of securities laws. The Moge team responded by enhancing their compliance framework and engaging with legal advisors to ensure adherence to applicable regulations. They also initiated a community consultation process to address concerns and improve transparency. Additionally, Moge encountered technical risks associated with its smart contracts, which were identified during a routine audit in mid-2023. The audit revealed vulnerabilities that could potentially be exploited. In response, the team promptly implemented a patch to address these issues and conducted a follow-up audit to verify the effectiveness of the fixes. Ongoing risks for Moge include market volatility and the evolving regulatory landscape, which the team aims to mitigate through continuous development practices and regular security audits.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
