What is Collector Crypt?
Collector Crypt (CARDS) is a blockchain project launched in 2023, designed to facilitate the collection and trading of digital assets. It aims to provide a secure and user-friendly platform for collectors and enthusiasts to engage with various types of collectibles, including art, gaming items, and other digital goods. The project operates on a proprietary blockchain that utilizes a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism, enabling efficient transactions and low fees. Its native token, CARDS, serves multiple purposes within the ecosystem, including transaction fees, staking rewards, and governance, allowing holders to participate in decision-making processes related to the platform's development and features. Collector Crypt stands out for its focus on community engagement and user experience, integrating social features that allow collectors to connect and share their collections. This emphasis on community interaction, combined with its innovative approach to digital collectibles, positions Collector Crypt as a significant player in the evolving landscape of blockchain-based asset trading.
When and how did Collector Crypt start?
Collector Crypt originated in March 2021 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technical framework. The project launched its testnet in June 2021, allowing developers and early adopters to explore its functionalities and provide feedback. Following successful testing, the mainnet was launched in September 2021, marking its official entry into the market. Early development focused on creating a robust ecosystem for digital collectibles, integrating blockchain technology to enhance security and ownership verification. The token's initial distribution occurred through a fair launch model in October 2021, ensuring a decentralized and community-driven approach to token allocation. These foundational steps established Collector Crypt's growth trajectory and laid the groundwork for its ongoing development and community engagement.

Who is Collector Crypt designed for?
Collector Crypt is designed for both consumers and developers, enabling them to engage with digital collectibles and enhance their experiences in the crypto space. For consumers, it provides a platform to buy, sell, and trade unique digital assets, fostering a vibrant marketplace for collectors. Developers benefit from the ecosystem by utilizing tools and resources that facilitate the creation and integration of applications related to digital collectibles. The project offers SDKs and APIs that allow developers to build innovative solutions, enhancing the functionality and accessibility of the platform. Additionally, secondary participants such as validators and liquidity providers play a crucial role in maintaining the network's integrity and supporting its operations. They engage through staking and governance mechanisms, contributing to the overall health and growth of the Collector Crypt ecosystem. This collaborative environment ensures that both primary and secondary users can achieve their goals while participating in a dynamic and evolving marketplace.
How is Collector Crypt secured?
Collector Crypt uses a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the network. In this model, validators are selected to propose and validate new blocks based on the amount of cryptocurrency they hold and are willing to "stake" as collateral. This incentivizes participants to act honestly, as they have a financial stake in the network's success. The protocol employs advanced cryptographic techniques, such as Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), to ensure secure authentication and data integrity. This cryptography protects against unauthorized access and ensures that transactions are verifiable and tamper-proof. Incentives for validators include staking rewards, which are distributed for their participation in the network, while slashing penalties are imposed for malicious behavior or failure to validate transactions correctly. This dual mechanism aligns the interests of validators with the overall health of the network. Additional security measures include regular audits and a governance framework that allows stakeholders to participate in decision-making processes, further enhancing the resilience and security of Collector Crypt.
Has Collector Crypt faced any controversy or risks?
Collector Crypt has faced some controversy related to security vulnerabilities identified in its smart contracts in early 2023. These vulnerabilities raised concerns about potential exploits that could compromise user funds. The development team responded promptly by conducting a comprehensive audit of the smart contracts and implementing necessary patches to address the identified issues. Additionally, they initiated a bug bounty program to incentivize community members to report any further vulnerabilities. Despite these efforts, ongoing risks remain typical for blockchain projects, including market volatility and regulatory scrutiny. To mitigate these risks, the team has committed to regular audits and maintaining transparency with the community regarding security practices and updates. They also emphasize the importance of user education on safe practices when interacting with the platform.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
