BMAX (BMAX)
What is BMAX?
BMAX (BMAX) is a cryptocurrency project launched in 2021, designed to facilitate decentralized finance (DeFi) solutions and enhance user engagement within the blockchain ecosystem. The project operates on the Ethereum blockchain, utilizing the ERC-20 token standard, which allows for smart contract functionality and interoperability with various decentralized applications (dApps). The native token, BMAX, serves multiple purposes within its ecosystem, including transaction fees, staking rewards, and governance participation, enabling holders to influence project decisions. BMAX aims to provide users with a seamless experience in accessing DeFi services, such as lending, borrowing, and yield farming. What sets BMAX apart is its focus on user-friendly interfaces and educational resources, making DeFi more accessible to a broader audience. This emphasis on usability and community engagement positions BMAX as a significant player in the evolving landscape of decentralized finance, catering to both novice and experienced users alike.
When and how did BMAX start?
BMAX originated in March 2021 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technical framework. The project launched its testnet in June 2021, allowing developers and early adopters to experiment with the platform's features and functionalities. Following the successful testing phase, BMAX transitioned to its mainnet launch in September 2021, marking its official entry into the market. Early development focused on creating a robust ecosystem for decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, aiming to enhance user experience and accessibility. The initial distribution of BMAX tokens occurred through an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in October 2021, which facilitated funding for further development and marketing efforts. These foundational steps established BMAX's growth trajectory and set the stage for its future initiatives within the blockchain space.
What’s coming up for BMAX?
According to official updates, BMAX is preparing for a significant protocol upgrade scheduled for Q1 2024, aimed at enhancing scalability and transaction throughput. This upgrade is expected to introduce new features that will improve user experience and overall network performance. Additionally, BMAX is working on integrating with several decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms, with partnerships targeted for completion by mid-2024. These initiatives are designed to expand the BMAX ecosystem and increase its utility within the broader crypto market. Progress on these milestones will be tracked through the project's official roadmap and community updates.

Who is BMAX designed for?
BMAX is designed for developers and consumers, enabling them to engage with a versatile blockchain ecosystem. It provides essential tools and resources, including SDKs and APIs, to facilitate application development and integration. Developers can leverage BMAX's infrastructure to create decentralized applications (dApps) that cater to various use cases, such as payments and governance. Additionally, BMAX targets institutions looking to adopt blockchain technology for operational efficiency and enhanced security. By offering a robust platform, BMAX supports institutions in streamlining processes and improving transaction transparency. Secondary participants, such as validators and liquidity providers, engage with BMAX through staking and governance mechanisms. This involvement allows them to contribute to the network's security and decision-making processes, fostering a collaborative environment that enhances the overall ecosystem. Through these diverse roles, BMAX aims to create a comprehensive and inclusive platform that meets the needs of its varied user base.
How is BMAX secured?
BMAX employs a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators confirm transactions and maintain the integrity of the network. In this model, participants can stake their BMAX tokens to become validators, which allows them to propose and validate new blocks. The protocol utilizes advanced cryptographic techniques, such as Ed25519 for digital signatures, ensuring secure authentication and data integrity. To align incentives, BMAX rewards validators with staking rewards for their participation in the network, while also implementing slashing penalties for malicious behavior or failure to validate transactions correctly. This mechanism discourages dishonest actions and promotes a secure environment for all participants. Additionally, BMAX incorporates regular audits and governance processes to enhance security and resilience. These measures ensure that the network remains robust against potential vulnerabilities and that the community has a voice in its ongoing development and governance.
Has BMAX faced any controversy or risks?
BMAX has faced some controversy related to security risks, particularly concerning vulnerabilities in its smart contracts. In early 2023, a critical exploit was identified that allowed unauthorized access to user funds, leading to a temporary suspension of certain functionalities. The development team responded promptly by conducting a thorough audit of the affected contracts and implementing a patch to rectify the vulnerabilities. Additionally, they launched a bug bounty program to incentivize community members to report any further issues. Despite these challenges, BMAX has maintained a commitment to transparency and user security. Ongoing risks include market volatility and regulatory scrutiny, which are common in the crypto space. To mitigate these risks, the team has established regular security audits and enhanced their governance framework to ensure community involvement in decision-making processes. This proactive approach aims to bolster user confidence and maintain the integrity of the BMAX ecosystem.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
