Twitter (X) Can Now Accept Cryptocurrency Payments
Twitter, now known as X, has secured a Rhode Island license, paving the way for cryptocurrency transactions on its platform.
Twitter, now called X, has gotten a special license from Rhode Island. This license lets them deal with cryptocurrency like Bitcoin.
With this license, Twitter can offer services related to digital money. They can let users store, transfer, and swap these digital coins.
The Rhode Island office says that anyone who controls or deals with digital money for others needs this license. This rule is for online wallets, places that swap digital coins, and those who process payments using these coins.
Twitter wants to be more involved in payments. They have worked with a Bitcoin app called Strike, allowing users to send and receive Bitcoin tips. Users can also show their Bitcoin and Ethereum details on their profiles.
There were talks that Musk might want to make X like a new version of PayPal.
