Against all odds, a lone Bitcoin miner recently hit the jackpot, securing a 6.25 BTC reward. As the complexities and costs of mining surge, this rare win shines a spotlight on the most cost-effective regions for cryptocurrency endeavors.

Solo Bitcoin Miner Earns Big Reward A miner who didn't join a group got a prize of 6.25 BTC.

A single Bitcoin miner, using a power of 1 petahash per second (PH/s), won a 6.25 Bitcoin (BTC) prize. This prize is now worth over $160,000.

This is not common. Normally, a miner like this would only win once every seven years. The prize came when it was very hard to mine Bitcoin, close to the hardest it's ever been.

The person who won didn't say who they are or where they are from. But, mining one Bitcoin costs a lot of money because of electricity. It costs about 22,000 dollars in Turkey and 46,000 dollars in the USA. So, they probably mine where electricity is cheap.

We shared news before that the cheapest places to mine Bitcoin are in Lebanon, Iran, Libya, Ethiopia, and Kyrgyzstan.

Still, mining in these places can be hard. They might not have good tools or steady electricity. Binance's leader, Changpeng Zhao, talked about these places. He said it makes sense for people there to mine Bitcoin.
