UK Police have seized $1.8 billion in Bitcoin from a massive $6.3 billion Chinese investment scam, highlighting Jian Wen's ongoing trial for aiding fugitive Yadi Zhang in laundering the proceeds.
UK cops got 61,100 Bitcoin from a huge scam in China. In London, Jian Wen is accused of helping Yadi Zhang clean money with Bitcoin from a scam that tricked nearly 130,000 people in China. The police found over 61,000 Bitcoin that came from $6.34 billion stolen by Zhang from Chinese investors.

Zhang then moved to London in 2017 with a new name to hide from Chinese police. Wen, who has been a UK citizen since 2018, is said to have worked with Zhang, says Gillian Jones KC from the Crown Prosecution Service.
Biggest Bitcoin Seizure In 2018, London Police found devices with over 61,000 BTC, worth £1.4 billion ($1.77 billion) in 2021 and now $2.6 billion, one of the biggest Bitcoin seizures. While Wen is still in court, Zhang has left the UK and is still hiding. In Germany, police took more than 50,000 Bitcoin worth over $2 billion from two people for running a website illegally, showing global action against crimes involving digital money.
