Revolut launches Revolut X, a new crypto exchange aimed at pro traders, offering lower fees

Revolut, a digital banking leader based in London, has launched a new crypto exchange called Revolut X, specifically designed for professional traders. This marks the bank as the first to separate its cryptocurrency trading platform from its regular banking app.

Revolut X offers direct trading with significantly lower fees, benefiting from a structure where makers trade for free, and takers pay only 0.09%. Aimed at competing with established cryptocurrency exchanges, Revolut X is now available on desktop for all UK customers with a Revolut retail account.

The platform initially supports digital assets like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP, already available on the Revolut app, with plans to include more cryptocurrencies. UK customers can log into the new exchange using their existing Revolut credentials and enjoy zero-fee transfers between Revolut X and the standard Revolut platform.

Revolut enhances user experience by offering a user-friendly interface and educational resources to promote informed trading decisions. The launch of Revolut X is part of the bank's ongoing effort to improve accessibility and convenience for its users, facilitating effective trading on the go.

In addition to the new exchange, Revolut has introduced other services, like Revolut Ramp, in partnership with MetaMask, that aim to simplify cryptocurrency purchases. This feature allows low-cost transactions directly through Metamask's application, seamlessly integrating banking and crypto services.
